About the home

This large apartment displays a splendid view of Saint Peter’s cathedral (San Pietro). It is located within the central district of Rione Prati, close to the Vatican. The district is named Rione Prati to remind us that before the beginning of the 20th century, the Castle Sant'Angelo was surrounded with prairies (‘prati’).
The apartment is perfectly located to visit most of ancient Rome’s monuments, famous churches, and the historical sights of Medieval and Renaissance Rome. A wide range of restaurants, cinemas, museums and shops are all at walking distance.
The apartment is finely furnished. It consists of:
- an entrance hall
- a living room with a dining table, a double sofa/convertible, a book case, a comfortable armchair, and a television set with DVD player.
- a bedroom with a double bed, a very large wardrobe, drawers, bedside tables, chairs and TV.
- a second bedroom with two large single beds, a cupboard and a book case.
- a fully equipped kitchen
- a bathroom with shower, basin, bidet, WC, hair dryer.

Rome’s climate is very fine. Mild in the winter, delight in the spring and in autumn, hot ( but not too hot) in the summer.an aspect of the city. The nightlife is happy and the atmosphere is quiet.Then there are elegant neighbourhood like Rione Prati, The Rione Prati shows characteristic palaces yellow-red-orange, beautiful tree-lined squared avenues coming down until the Tiber embankments. The Rione Prati that means meadows district is called thus because, previously to its construction at the beginning of XX century, this area was covered by the meadows of Castel Sant'Angelo, fortified residence of the Popes. The Rione Prati was the first district provided by tram service, and has several delicious pastry shops, that they offer the best of the Italian confectionery working, small trattorie where optimal wines and traditional plates can be tasted, large and small markets where curiosities of local handicraft can be found.

Dear Mr and Mrs, We hope you found the apartment in good order. We enjoyed our short holiday very much. Your apartment is very comfortable and in a very good location. It was nice to wake up in the morning and admire St. Peter's dome. We also liked to watch the swallows that made nests on the house opposite. Thank you again for letting us to stay in your place. We hope to see you again. As a token of our appreciation we left a box of English chocolates on the table. Kind regards Beata and Chris Howe
