A door separates this part of the flat from the double bedroom and the bathroom, making it the ideal holiday home also for groups of five people.

The Lazio region

Lazio is situated in the centre of Italy so in an ideal position to reach both the north and the south of the country.
It benefits of a good weather and a pleasant countryside;its small medieval villages are still incontaminated, small cheap restaurants offer you the typical cooking of the area, and ,if you arrive in the right period , you can taste fettuccine with mushrooms and other local specialities. If you want to breath the air where most Roman legends were born, go to Sabina with its small castles and old narrow streets, where life seems not to have changed for centuries. Another place of great interest is Tivoli, one hour by bus, with its incredibly beautiful villas, Villa D'Este, Villa Adriana and Villa Gregoriana that are among the most visited Villas in the world. In particular in Villa Adriana there is a Summer Festival with concerts, ballets and theatre in the ideal setting of this magnificent villa built by Emperor Adriano. In Tivoli you can admire some of the most beautiful sunsettings in the world and incredible panoramas on Rome.

The position of the flat is surprisingly beautiful,as it is situated in the oldest part of the city, among the roman ruins; you can admire the enchanting view of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum just a few hundred meters from the house.

From Venice square that is just round the corner, you can also take a bus to the Vatican city and the Vatican museums or enjoy the most interesting exhibitions in Rome in the "Vittoriano" or in" Venice Palace".

Rome / Central Rome area

The ideal vacation for you if you want to breathe the historical Rome with its old squares, narrow and characteristic streets, its ruins and antique churches. The flat is located in one of the most beautiful streets in Rome, a few steps from the enchanting "Campidoglio" square," from where you will have a fantastic view on the Roman Forum and at walking distance from all the places of historical and cultural interest you can find convenient to visit in Rome. The location is also extremely quiet, without the noise that the traffic sometimes causes in other parts of the city. If you like characteristic markets and narrow colourful lanes, you can easily reach "Campo dei fiori" or Trastevere with its traditional restaurants and coffee bars where night life seems never to cease.

You can just walk to the most beautiful historical sites in Rome and the characteristic "Campo dei Fiori"square and Trastevere. The Vatican city is also easily reachable by bus from Venice square. The street is in a fascinating old area only a few meters from Campidoglio square, made by Michelangelo. The nearest beach is easy to reach, only 20 km far and it takes only 20 minutes by train from "Piramide Station".

How to get there

AboutMyPlace

View Interactive Map

A bus stop just round the corner, three underground stations and a fast train to get to and from Fiumicino airport; trains are very frequent, fast and comfortable, you will get out at Ostiense station and from there you can easily get a taxi or the bus 716 and get out at the stop Petroselli; the line 716 is very frequent, the bus leaves every 12 minutes. From there you can easily and pleasantly walk to the apartment that is just round the corner.
If you prefer renting a car, there are plenty of opportunities in Fiumicino airport, one of the best,I think, is "Rent a car".

Guestbook

Dear Luciana,
We really enjoined our stay in July 2008 at your place in Via Dei Foraggi.
The apartment was nice and clean and perfect size for us. We enjoined the freshness given by the high ceilings of the apartment, especially during the exceptional heat wave!.
The location is magnificent and perfect for walking, close to the heart of historical Rome and 2 steps away from the Isola Tiberina….we hope to see you again!!
Take care,
Enrico and Lara
Rome July 2008.

"We are finally settling back into cold England an missing our time in Rome!
Thank you so much for all your help and advice during our two weeks in Rome. You really helped us to have a trouble free and enjoyable holiday. The apartment is in such a beautiful building and charming street, right in the centre of Rome that we couldn't have asked for any better. Everywhere was within easy walking distance and the lttle grocery shop at the end of the street was full of the most delicious food imaginable. Suffice to say we have had a wonderful holiday in Rome and hope to return again someday. Thank you once again" Jessica
