About this location

The Lazio region

Rome is the capital city of the ancient world. So you can find a lot of surprising and terrific sites (as Tivoli and Ostia Antica) to visit also in the hinterland and in all over the region. Similarly the history and the art kept to go ahead and you can find testimonials of every historic period, from Etruscan to nowadays.

But there are also other reasons to visit our region: climate, nature, food, wine, and fun!.

In fact it is almost never too cold, or too hot, and our region has both sea (summertime)and mountain (wintertime).

There are some lakes too (as Bracciano), and a lot of other places with fabulous landscapes. There are natural reserves (WWF), and botanical gardens as Ninfa.

Not to tell about food and wine, delicious to buy and cook yourself or to taste in the restaurants, with italian wonderful wine.

Last but not least, fun. There is always something to do in our region, festivals, civil and religious representations, events to promote local products.

Rome

We are close to St. Peter, the centre of Catholicism. But even if you are not catholic you can appreciate the history, and the art of our site. You'll see where and how the pope was taking refuge in case of danger (Castel S. Angelo), but also all the magnificence of his power (Sistine Chapel). And you'll find ancient Rome in any corner of our modern one, (Castel S. Angelo itself was the Emperor Hadrian's grave).

But there are also other reasons to visit our region: climate, In fact it is almost never too cold, or too hot, and Roman people go out every day, and every night through all the year.

You can also enjoy fabulous landscapes in the hearth of Rome (Gianicolo, not far from us) and its famous parks as Villa Borghese (Pincio Terrace), or Villa Pamphili, near our location).

Not to tell about food and wine, delicious to buy and cook yourself or to taste in the restaurants, with Italian wonderful wine.

Last but not least, fun. There is always something to do in Rome, (Festival del Cinema on October, for example) and theatre, music, and events in every corner of the city.

"Great apartment in great location"

Really lovely, everything clean and functional, nice and comfortable furniture and beds, very nice owner! Very close to the Vatican. Even free street parking just down the street. I'd definitely stay there again.

"4 Day Trip to Rome"

We rented this property in October 2013 for a 4 day trip to Rome and were very pleased with it. The location is excellent with a view of St. Peters fromt he balcony and the apartment itself was very clean and well kept. We had no issues with any facilities within the apartment and our host Giovanna helped with bus and tram lines and all the information we requested. Highly recommended.

"Spacious, home-like, quiet 2 bedroom apartment near Vatican"

My husband, myself and our two adult daughters stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in Italy from the States. The apartment was homey, very spacious, well-equipped, clean and comfortable and the location on a quiet, residential street near the Vatican was perfect. We felt like we were in a "real" (not heavily touristed) neighborhood but just a few blocks from the Vatican and an easy walk across the river to other Rome sights. One can access a bus near the apartment that goes through the centro historico and there is a supermercado a short walk from the apartment . Giovanna was an excellent host: she was attentive in just the right way and was so helpful in our getting our bearings in the city. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!
