THE DISTRICT:For those seeking accommodation Rome, San Pietro – Vaticano is an area ideal for businessmen or tourists wishing to stay in their own apartment in Rome, in the heart of the city.

Piazza San Pietro is one of the most famous squares in the world, located in front of the Basilica di San Pietro, cradle of the spirit of the first Pope, the apostle and martyr Pietro, a place of daily pilgrimage for thousands of faithfuls from around the world. It is, in a sense, the heart of Christianity, of the Roman Catholic Church, as well as being an area of high cultural and touristic interest, located only a couple of minutes away from the centre, where one finds all the commercial and financial activities of the city. It is the smallest city-state in the world, located right next to the historical centre of Rome, on the western shore of the Tiber. Inside the medieval and renaissance walls that surround them are the Vatican Palace, the Government Palace, the Vatican gardens, the Vatican library, the Vatican Museums, the Vatican Gallery and the very famous Sistine Chapel. Well served by all means of public transport, one can find numerous tram, bus and metro stops in this area (San Pietro and Cipro-Musei Vaticani), that lead to roughly every part of the Eternal City.
