Great place! Austin, Texas USA Review Submitted: May 31, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008 This apartment is in a great place, has some lovely restaurants, offers a great open air market close for those who want to cook, and was bigger than we expected. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Ottaviano metro station, and another 5 minutes from the Vatican. Also-- Ottaviano is only a couple of stops away from the station that connects you to everything in Rome (Termini), so it is conveniently located. We spoke about the apartment to some other tourists we met, and they envied the value we got for the great location. The floors are hardwoods, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom has a separate tub & shower, a toilet and a bidet. We traveled there in May, and didn't have to use the air conditioning at all. The windows open wide are offer a great connection with the outside whether it is rainy or sunny. There is satellite television, but those with children should beware: there are an abundance of pornographic channels you'll have to sort through to get to TV channels that are appropriate. One of the high points of our vacation was communicating with vendors in small shops, like the lovely cafe and the fresh pasta shop downstairs. Just lovely. We discussed how we would love to spend 3 months or more there when we retire to get to know the area better, it was that great. It was clean, well-maintained, spacious, and I would highly recommend it.
