Ref. 15479 - This elegant 100m2 apartment can comfortably sleep up to five people and is located on the second floor (without a lift) of an old typical building in the Trastevere district.
The accommodation is alongside the Tevere, in one of the most attractive spots for those visiting the Eternal City. The neighbourhood is at the very heart of Rome – and was formerly the very fulcrum of the real spirit of the city and daily life in the capital. It is an area that is home to many venues, bars, pizzerias and restaurants (and today a great spot to find really authentic Roman cuisine).
The strategic location of the accommodation means visitors can walk to the most important places of historical and cultural interest such as the Giannocolo, Tiberina island, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venecia and the famous Bocca Della Verità . The area is also well served by public transport to travel quickly and easily all over the city including the Vatican and its Museums, the Coliseum and many other attractions. It is a pleasure to get lost among the wonderful narrow streets of this fabulous area and discover the hidden corners of the old Rome. There is a certain magic that only be found in this city.
The apartment was reformed in 2011 while the lighting system was refurbished in 2012, giving the apartment a bright feel.. The old furniture, wooden beam ceilings and modern touch around its rooms makes it quite a unique type of accommodation. The main hall opens onto a large lounge with an elegant decoration, ceramic paving, old doors, XIX century library, fireplace, single sofa bed and flat-screen television. The living room area has a table with chairs, and also leads onto a small balcony. The stonework kitchen is fully equipped. The two large and elegant bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and sound-proof windows – the first has a double bed and the second two single beds which can be joined together to form a double. The bathroom has a shower cabin.

Description: Trastevere is one of Rome's most characteristic areas. Extremely lively, full of charm and history, staying here is to enjoy the Eternal City at its very best. A stroll around the labyrinth of its narrow little streets, almost unchanged over the centuries, gives the visitor an idea of real life in Rome, and it is also where the best pizzerias, typical Roman taverns and a huge selection of bars, workshops, designer shops, bookshops and art galleries can be discovered alongside numerous churches and monuments. Plaza Trilussa is one of the most popular squares and the meeting place for many young people. The other square, Santa María in Trastevere, named after the famous church located there is an architectural gem dating back to the beginning of the medieval era, and is also the oldest Basilica in Rome. Also noteworthy are the Basílica de Santa Cecilia , S. Francesco a Ripa and Sant'Egidio. Another of the area's beautiful buildings is the Villa Farnesina, home of the Italian science academy Accademia dei Lincei. The district covers a wide area that encompasses Gianicolo, a great place to admire a fabulous view of the city. Here we can find Villa Sciarra and San Pietro en Montorio with the famous Tempietto del Bramante. The convent was given to Spain at the end of the XIX Century and is now the headquarters of the Real Academia Española. A very central area, it is recommended to move around on foot as it is very well-communicated with buses and trams that have numerous stops on the district's main central thoroughfare, the Viale Trastevere. A little further away towards the Circonvallazione Gianicolense, is the Estación Trastevere that is also the terminal for a number of different bus lines.
