The Attico apartment offers luxury accommodation with a spectacular roof terrace in the heart of old Rome.

Along with our two other apartments the Galleria and the Artists Residence we aim to provide luxury, comfort and a real sense of what it is to live in Rome as a Roman.

A magnificent apartment in the Monte "Centro Storico" of Rome designed and decorated to the highest standard with much attention take to fine details with impressive 15th century ceilings, old master paintings and beautiful furniture. The apartment has been decorated with great care and taste with a working fireplace, terracotta floors, fine fabrics and elegant furnishing. We offer guests an opportunity to experience Rome as a Roman in a prestigious Patrician Palazzo in the heart of old Rome. The entire apartment has a peaceful and rich ambiance. The owner has furnished the apartment with important antiques and fine paintings and decorations from ancient and renaissance rome.

This Elegant two bedroom apartment on the top floor of 17th century palazzo provides everything visitors need to ensure a luxurious and comfortable stay in Rome. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom two singles joined. The living has a magnificant grand piano set amongst antique bookshelfs, an important Florentine mantle and several down filled chairs and sofa. The living room can also accomodate two people on a sofa bed. The apartment has a kitchen ingeniously fitted into a 17th century armoir and there is an elegant dining room cum library filled with a good selection of books on Rome. There are two full bathrooms - one with jacuzzi and shower and the second with a walk-in power shower. Every room has airconditioning and there is ample space for clothes and storage. There is a washing machine, separate dryer, dishasher. There is also a sofa bed which can be used in the living room for extra guests.

The Palazzo is perfectly situated in the area known as Monti/Esquilino what the New York Times Travel section has identified as "Romes best kept secret." Monti provides guests with easy walking access to all the main sites. The apartment is between the Coloseum and Via Nazionale, The Quirinale Presidential Palace and Piazza Venezia and the area surrounding the Spanish Steps. The location is within walking distance of the main station and easily accessible to bus through the city - although guests can easily get around on foot without having to rely on public transport. The Monti area is one of the remaining areas of Rome where the world of artisans shops still remain. There are a great assortment of one off shops and small galleries exhibiting all sorts wonderfully unique items. There are also fantastic restaurants and cafes serving classic Roman fine food. Just opposite the apartment is one of the best producers of handmade pasta in Rome.

Rome

Monrti is one of the best kept secrets of Rome while much of the rest of the city has been moslty highjacked to venues for day trip tourists. Monti is rich in its ability to still maintain much of the old atmosphere and character of this ancient city. A very helpful article which recently came out in the New York Times Travel section will help guests to explore the area even before the set foot on Roman ground- The link is:

"Wonderful Apartment in Central Rome"

This is a wonderful apartment to stay in a very central area of Rome, full of character and yet complete with all the amenities. Good sized bedrooms, living area, diningroom and handy kitchenette with sink, dishwasher, stovetop and everything you need to cook should you so desire! The bathroom is large and includes a bathtub, with an adjoining shower room AND washer/dryer. Everything you would need for a home-away-from-home. The area relatively very quiet but is very close to shops, a grocery store within steps of the apartment, ATM and many restaurants/cafes. It is also within a short walking distance of some of the major Rome attractions - the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, and more. Jill, the property manager, takes excellent care of you and all the arrangements - both she and the apartment owners are wonderful people and a pleasure to deal with. When we head back to Rome, which we undoubtedly will, this is where we'll stay again!

Thank you for your wonderful review. We look forward to your return visit with us in Rome.

Until then,

All the best,

Jill
