A magnificent apartment in the Monte "Centro Storico" of Rome designed and decorated to the highest standard with much attention take to fine details with impressive 15th century ceilings, old master paintings and beautiful furniture. The apartment has been decorated with great care and taste with a working fireplace, terracotta floors, fine fabrics and elegant furnishing. We offer guests an opportunity to experience Rome as a Roman in a prestigious Patrician Palazzo in the heart of old Rome. The entire apartment has a peaceful and rich ambiance. The owner has furnished the apartment with important antiques and fine paintings and decorations from ancient and renaissance rome.
This Elegant two bedroom apartment on the top floor of 17th century palazzo provides everything visitors need to ensure a luxurious and comfortable stay in Rome. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom two singles joined. The living has a magnificant grand piano set amongst antique bookshelfs, an important Florentine mantle and several down filled chairs and sofa. The living room can also accomodate two people on a sofa bed. The apartment has a kitchen ingeniously fitted into a 17th century armoir and there is an elegant dining room cum library filled with a good selection of books on Rome. There are two full bathrooms - one with jacuzzi and shower and the second with a walk-in power shower. Every room has airconditioning and there is ample space for clothes and storage. There is a washing machine, separate dryer, dishasher. There is also a sofa bed which can be used in the living room for extra guests.
The Palazzo is perfectly situated in the area known as Monti/Esquilino what the New York Times Travel section has identified as "Romes best kept secret." Monti provides guests with easy walking access to all the main sites. The apartment is between the Coloseum and Via Nazionale, The Quirinale Presidential Palace and Piazza Venezia and the area surrounding the Spanish Steps. The location is within walking distance of the main station and easily accessible to bus through the city - although guests can easily get around on foot without having to rely on public transport. The Monti area is one of the remaining areas of Rome where the world of artisans shops still remain. There are a great assortment of one off shops and small galleries exhibiting all sorts wonderfully unique items. There are also fantastic restaurants and cafes serving classic Roman fine food. Just opposite the apartment is one of the best producers of handmade pasta in Rome.

The Lazio region

We are 30 minutes by taxi from either Fiumicino or Ciampino Airport (All internation flights plus Easyjet and Ryan Air)
Termini Station is a ten minute walk
Both open air tour busues and standard buses are a two minute walk from the apartment on via Nazionale. Also a taxi rank. Guests can walk everywhere as we are in the heart of the city BUT shoudl you prefer buses all leave from Via nazionale.

We offer a guest letter which is very informative with not only practical numbers and addresses but also recomendations for restaurants, day trips and walking tours.
There is a supermarket around the corner and more imortantly one of Rome's BEST ICECREAM shops just down the road off via delle Boschetto.
The openn air markets of Campo di Fiori and Piazza Vittorio are a 12 minute walk.
Views over Rome can be savoured from the Roof Top Terrace with the Colloseum in close proximatey.
Trains to Naples and on to Capri take 1 hours and 30 minutes
Trains to Florence 1 hour 30 minutes
Monrti is one of the best kept secrets of Rome while much of the rest of the city has been moslty highjacked to venues for day trip tourists. Monti is rich in its ability to still maintain much of the old atmosphere and character of this ancient city.
