The Lazio region
Rome is the capital of the ancient world. So you can find a lot of surprising and terrific sites (as Tivoli and Ostia Anitca) to visit also in the hinterland and in all over the region. Similarly the history and the art kept to go ahead and you can find testimonials of every historic period, from Etruscan to nowadays.
But there are also other reasons to visit our region: climate, nature, food, wine, and fun!.
In fact it is almost never too cold, or too hot, and our region has both sea (summertime)and mountain (wintertime).
There are some lakes too (as Bracciano), and a lot of other places with fabulous landscapes. There are natural reserves (WWF), and botanical gardens as Ninfa.
Not to tell about food and wine, delicious to buy and cook yourself or to taste in the restaurants, with italian wonderful wine.
Last but not least, fun. There is always something to do in our region, festivals, civil and religious representations, events to promote local products.
We are near St. Peter, the centre of Catholicism. But if you are not catholic you can appreciate the history, and the art of our site. You'll see where and how the pope was taking refuge in case of danger (Castel S. Angelo), but also all the magnificence of his power (Sistine Chapel). And you'll find ancient Rome in any corner of our modern one, (Castel S. Angelo itself was the Emperor Hdrian's tomb).
But there are also other reasons to visit our region: climate, In fact it is almost never too cold, or too hot, and Roman people go out every day, and every night during all the year.
You can also enjoy fabulous landscapes in the hearth of Rome (Gianicolo, not far from us) and its famous parks as Villa Borghese (Pincio Terrace), or Villa Pamphili, near our location).
Not to tell about food and wine, delicious to buy and cook yourself or to taste in the restaurants, with Italian wonderful wine.
Last but not least, fun. There is always something to do in Rome, (next month Festival del Cinema, for example) and theatre, music, and events in every corner of the city.
