The Lazio region
The home of one of the greatest empires the world has ever seen, Rome still casts the shadow of its legacy far and wide. A whole day should be devoted to exploring Vatican City, the smallest nation in the world. Saint Peter’s Square and Cathedral are vast monuments to papal power, and the Vatican museums house works by Raphael as well as the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s great work.
Rome / Parioli area
One of the most ancient cities in Europe. Ancient Rome was founded over 2,700 years ago and remains one of the world's most photogenic cities - not surprising when you remember what's here - Trevi Fountain, The Vatican, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, The Forum, St Peter's Square, the Pantheon. Whether you spend your time sightseeing, or lazing in cafés and watching the world go by, it will be a memorable time.
Rome is a romantic place for honey-mooners, a stimulating holiday destination, a city of style and fashion.

Guestbook
Strolling this neighbourhood, I felt fortunate to experience Rome as a resident Trees, gardens, splendid architecture and the atmosphere of locals enhanced my understanding of the Rome behind the historical venues. A view to the present added to my understanding. The apartment was comfortable, the short bus ride relaxing after ploughing through streets and galleries all day.
