The Lazio region

The Lazio region: most of the region bordered by the Tyrrhenian Sea, one of the finest Italian seas.

Maritime places of great interest. Porto Santo Stefano, Porto Ercole, Ostia (Rome, the great beach!), San Felice Circeo, Sperlonga, Gaeta.

To the north we have mountains of Lazio, where you can ski. Of great interest is Rieti, Viterbo. Civitavecchia is the largest port of Rome: passenger ships leave from here for many tourist places of the Mediterranean.

We are so in the centre of Rome which is impossible to name all the clubs that are available to tourists. Trastevere has its greatest and most important festival which is called the Feast of Noantri.

Every Sunday morning at Porta Portese is a large market of new and used many things: you almost can find everything, is very large and extended.

In the town of Castel Sant'Angelo Rome organizes beautiful fireworks. Castel Sant'Angelo you can always take a great walk on the "Passetto" is an old elevated corridor that the popes used to go from Castel Sant'Angelo to St. Peter's without being seen.

However the events in Rome are many: it depends on the seasons and months, so our guests will be advised at check-in.

"A well designed compact appartment with good facilities and a great location"

It was a very nice appartment that was very warm and bright. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean and new. The only downside to this apartment was that the TV was mounted very high on a wall directly in front of the sofa which made it very difficult for more than 1 person to comfortably watch TV. But we were not in Rome to watch TV and so for us it was not a great problem!

"Great apartment"

We thought the apartment and location were great--the listing description and photos were accurate. It is compact but well designed. It was renovated in 2011 so everything is new and modern. Master bedroom is quite large and both bedrooms have lots of closet space. We really appreciated the air conditioning in each room! Appliances, hot water, Wi-Fi all worked fine and having a washer /dryer was very convenient. The apartment is on a quiet street and area; less than 10 minutes walk to St Peter's or to Castel Sant Angelo where there is a tourist info kiosk. Walk over the bridge and in 10-15 min you are in the heart of the Navona/Pantheon/Campo di Fiori areas. Lots of restaurants across the bridge--we enjoyed several around the Piazza di Pasquino. There are bus stops close to the apartment if you don't want to walk and a small convenience store. A larger grocery store is across the bridge not far along Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The apartment is on a hill--Gianicolo-- and if you walk up and along there is a beautiful overlook of the city. The owner, Rodolfo is very nice. He is organized, responsive and very easy to work with. His cleaning person speaks English and he had a translator available when we arrived to ensure we had a thorough briefing on the apartment. He has several apartments in Rome and I would not hesitate to rent from him again. Thank you Rodolfo--we had a wonderful time in Rome and enjoyed your lovely apartment!

"Great apartment"

Rodolfo was a very attentive owner and provided us with excellent service. It is a beautiful apartment on the Gianiculum hillside, a quiet and lovely part of Rome. We stayed there for a month with another couple, and enjoyed it very much.

"A good find in a quiet and safe neighborhood of Rome"

We stayed (3 adults) in the wonderful apartment between October 29th and November 8th, 2011. It was very clean, airy and with plenty of natural light. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was smallish but enough for up to four adults. All amenities were as advertised and in working order. Owner was very responsive; when we had aproblem in accessing the electronic outdoor key, someone was there to fix the problem within one hour of contacting him. Many attractions and restaurants as well as a grocery store were within walking (and safe) diatance. Would stay there again. Just wish there were English-speaking channels on TV.
