The Lazio region

Besides Rome there are many other places of interest in Lazio: other cities with historical importance like Viterbo (the city of Popes) Tarquinia, Cerveteri but also beaches during the summer (check out for Maremma, a unique combination of countryside and natural parks along the cost north of Roma) , thermal baths and spas (Viterbo, Tivoli). Summer can be hot but most of the time the temparature is mild (winter lasts from mid-december to mid-february with average temperature well above freezing).

Rome

Besides archeological sites, the center of Rome has much to offer: live concerts in music halls and churches,

the best shopping in town, great dining and hundreds of little cafes. Or just walk and explore the many little streets of the center where every corner hides a surprise.

"Location,location,location !"

Well situated apartment in the middle of Rome.Friendly welcome when we arrived from the airport.
It was amazingly quiet and yet near all the major restaurants and attractions such as the Vatican.
We had to walk four flights of stairs to get to the apartment but the view was fantastic and it was good daily exercise prior to sampling the excellent local restaurants recommended by the owner.
The apartment was comfortable but the air conditioning was only available in the upstairs bedroom whilst on the ground floor, there were fans in the twin bedroom and the living room.
In summary, this is an ideally situated apartment for a holiday in Rome , but it is very hot in summer.

"Welcoming flat; beautiful views and terrace."

We had a very happy stay and felt thoroughly welcomed.
The flat is in an excellent location: close to sites, but quiet.
We particularly enjoyed shopping in local food stores, cooking in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen, and eating on the roof-top terrace.
