As you can read from the numerous enthusiastic reviews from past guests the apartments are beautiful, perfectly equipped, full of Roman charm and personality, situated in two of the cities most sought after residential areas. Guests are encouraged to discover Rome on foot - the best way to see this remarkable city.

The Palazzo for the "Artists Residence was completed in 1675 and has been meticulously restored to its full Renaissance glory. The building is ideally located at the end of Via Coronari, a bustling street in the historic centre near both the Piazza Navona and the well known Campo di Fiori, Rome's popular Fruit and Vegetable market in the day, and at night it is transformed into a gathering spot with good restaurants and cafes open until dawn.

The "Galleria" is in a distinguised 17th Century Palazzo with superb handpainted ceilings dating from the 15th century and is in the one the famously Roman area of "Monti" considered to be one of Romes remaining genuine zones in terms of atmosphere and the markets and galleries. "Great Location, Beautiful Apt and Terrific Owners"

We had an unforgetable week with our family of 6. Great location between Vatican and Piazza Navonna. Walk to everywhere and return "home" to a sumptously appointed apt in a Medici Palazzo - what more could you ask for. Jill and Stefan are gracious hosts who will be as helpful and attentive as you require.

"Elegant, Comfortable and Spacious Old World Apartment"

My three adult children and myself spent a week in this lovely apartment. We were enthralled with the high ceilings, elegant furnishings and easy comfort of the apartment located in a storybook neighborhood. Some of the best cappuccino in Rome is found in a small cafe just a few feet from the apartment--it became our daily morning stop. The apartment is very central. We were able to walk to all the main tourist attractions and to reach great restaurants on foot. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again. Additionally the owners are nearby; they were charming and helpful, answering all our questions.

"A superb flat, full of character, in an historic property and an amazing location"

A charming and well appointed artists' home a few metres from the Tiber and in a fascinating area of the city. Full of atmosphere with original artworks and amazing books to browse. It beats the anonymity and blandness of a hotel any day! Strongly recommended for a true Roman experience surrounded by good taste and interesting creations.

"Quintessential Rome"

My husband and I and 2 friends recently had the pleasure of staying at Via dei Vecchiarelli. From the moment we entered this amazing palazzo we felt at home. The apartment was one of the highlights of Rome. It was difficult to decide whether to go out and explore the city or sit by the window in the fabulous living room with a wonderful book on art history. The home was immaculate, sumptuous, elegant and inviting. Well located a stone's throw from the river, a 10 minute walk to the Vatican, and to many other sights. The apartment was well stocked and appointed. Our gracious and incredibly helpful hostess was a fountain of information regarding restaurants, sightseeing tips, etc. We were sad to leave. We'll be back!

"Magnificent palazzo, Rome's best kept secret!"

In today's world of bureaucracy-driven mediocrity and chain-like sameness, it is refreshing to find such a unique place in the centre of historic Rome.

From the moment you walk through the massive doors into the cool courtyard, you'll know this is a special place. A wide and gracious stone stairway leads to the first floor palazzo (there is an elevator too) adding to your anticipation. Cross the threshold, and the photos certainly don't do it justice – high ceilings with detailed painted beams, tall windows, and beautiful stone floors. This is a peaceful, quiet, immaculately presented apartment, situated right in the heart of wonderful Roma. Furnishings are sumptuous with large sofas, comfy cushions and beautiful artwork. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen comprehensively equipped, and there's more than enough room for everyone to find a quiet spot to relax in after a busy day's sightseeing.

The location is just perfect – all the major sights are within easy walking distance. Jill & Stefan recommended the best places to see, where to eat, special exhibitions to visit, plus all the 'insiders tips' that no travel guide could ever give you. After some very disappointing experiences with apartments & hotels in Rome that bore little resemblance to their advertising, we cannot recommend this magnificent palazzo more highly. You won't want to leave. It's THAT special.

"Best Place to Stay"

My family & I had a great time stay in this place- it is beautiful, clean, safe & comfortable. The location is fabulous, too. Very close to Castel St. Angelo and a short walk to St. Peter's.
Upon arrival the owners greeted us in the street and checked us in- giving us a tour of the place and instructions on how to use the place from front door key to air conditioner. It is spacious so we could all spread out and relax after a morning of touring. Kids watched a movie in the den. I read in the living room and husband could nap in the master. The kitchen is functional and beautiful so I made breakfast and afternoon snacks there. There were too many good restaurants in the neighborhood to stay in for dinner. Just around the corner is a grocery store so you could buy supplies for meals. Also, a charming gelateria along the street. (Had antique shops, too.) The building was quiet and secure with a center courtyard and elevator.
The kids slept in the loft which has a low ceiling for my six foot tall boys, but they soon got used to it and enjoyed there space.
We hope to come back and stay there again- we LOVED IT!!!

"We'll stay here again in a heartbeat"

We had a great time visiting Rome (June 2011) and this apartment was a major reason. This apartment is beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, and most importantly in a great location. This apartment met all our needs and it is even nicer than its description. We walked to all great sites from this place and the few times my parents couldn't walk, we took buses from a nearby terminal. There are also many great stores and restaurants in the vicinity. We also want to thank the owners and the rental agent for making us feel at home and making sure we are taken care of. They were always there if we had a question or needed something. They also had some great recommendation for restaurants and places to go. We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and would stay there again if we go back to Rome.

"Luxurious and Charming in a Vintage Building"

We were looking for a well located apartment where our family of five (including 3 collage age kids), could spread out under one roof between sightseeing adventures. This apartment fit the bill and more! Very large by Europe standards, and featuring a living room comprised of three sofas and two comfortable lounge chairs gave us that hangout place we so wanted. A large dining room with love seat was a perfect staging area heading out. The well appointed kitchen had everything we needed, although we ended up dining out all the time. Two large bedrooms plus a loft with two singles makes it a flexible layout for families or two couples. Overstuffed furniture, books, art....we truly felt we were staying in a friend's home during our stay in Rome. In a way we were as our host and hostess were most welcoming and hospitable.

"Beautiful apartment in fantastic location"

This apartment is spacious, very tastefully decorated and located in a very convenient part of Rome. Nestled just across the river from the Castel Sant'Angelo, we were within a short walking distance of the Vatican. The apartment sits right on one of Rome's fantastic antique shopping streets and has numerous cafes and restaurants very nearby. Being close to the Vatican, it is of course a bit of a hike to some of the other sights (such as the Coloseum), but it was just a couple of short blocks to catch a convenient bus that will drop you right in front of the Forum.

We were traveling with a total of 5 people ... our two teenagers and my father-in-law ... and the apartment was more than adequate for our needs. The two bedrooms plus loft comfortably sleep 6 people and the air conditioning units kept the temperature very comfortable ... even in mid-July during a heatwave. The building has an elevator which came in handy getting luggage up to the apartment, but with the apartment on the 1st floor, it was an easy walk up one flight of stairs.

The owners provided dining and sightseeing recommendations that were very useful as well. My only problem with this trip was that it was just too short. For our next trip back to Rome, I will not hesitate to book this apartment again.
