The location is fantastic, you may visit all the city only with short walking. The street is in a precious and old part of Rome, with the best and finest services, in via San Martino ai Monti, 50 meters long, you have a sushi restaurant and 4 very good restaurants, an original irish pub, 3 book shops with bar inside , 2 clubs , open in the night, 2 coffees. I enjoy if you choose Via San Martino ai Monti, the children love very much the apartment , because is cosy for a family and they have so much new to see, from the same windows of the apartment , and in the same street Via San Martino ai Monti : the best pizzeria and restaurants and nearby the Colosseum with a lovely garden and the best ice of the city are overall around. The fantastic archeological museum is minutes near with gardens, and a collection of frescoes and statues.

In the same street are bicycles to rent and many little places where to seat and drink something and talk with friendly Romans who live here, you are in the center of the city in a part with best services. At home you have french window where to seat and talk together or see the sunset: is really lovely.

Traffic in the area is infrequent as it is normally used only by fellow residents. Within 40 meters either way are some great eating places, which cater to a variety of budgets and tastes, and a five minute stroll, will get you to a large number of dining, snacking, drinking, and "cobbled courtyard coffee-in-the-sun" establishments.

Apart from being in a perfect location, the intuitive, tasteful and innovative design combines a big space feel with a feeling of privacy.

Attractions & Activities

You can forget your car: the place is only a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Maximum Circus; 15 minutes from the Spanish Steps, Trevi's Fountain, and "La Dolce Vita" in Via Veneto. Subway Stop CAVOUR is only 300 meters away and will connect you to the rest of the City. Vatican is only 15 minutes by bus. The apartment is located in a small cobbled street only 6 meters wide, in the most ancient part of Rome, just behind the Roman Forum. The area is mainly residential, and is home to many very interesting restaurants and trattoria, along with a wide variety of antique restorers and various crafts. The area is home to many famous artists (esp. writers, movie stars and directors). Most famous (internationally) is film-director Mario Monicelli ("The Great War", "The Girl with A Pistol", "High Infidelity", "The Unfaithful", "The Passionate Thief").

Transport in and out of the area is very simple as 100 meters away is an underground station and a short walk to the Forum area takes you into the centre of the city.

Rome

The surrounding area apartment in Monti -- excellent, hip and central location, close to the city's transportation hubs and both metro lines, biggest produce and food market, and plenty of upscale restaurants (Monti) and ethnic eateries (Piazza Vittorio). Walking distance to the Roman Forum (7 mins), the Colosseum (10 mins), the Spanish Steps (15 mins) and the city's main train station (6 mins). This apartment is exceptionally quiet and cool for central Rome.
