Perfect because close to the Vatican museums, the historical places and of to one of the main shopping site in the town, this house is both adapted for families holidays or for groups of friends.
In a peaceful setting with a courtyard, just off Piazza Risorgimento steps from the Vatican Museums ad San Pietro, in the midst of the well known shopping area, close to most interesting sites, this apartment is perfect for a family of 4.
Past the main gate and the doorman office, the building is on the right. First floor with elevator, has an ample foyer with built in book case and a desk. The living-dining room spacious and well appointed, is on the left. It has all wall, to the ceiling high book case with books, TV, 3 seats sofa, 2 armchairs, little table with a lamp.
The fully equipped kitchen is on the left: it's spacious and bright, has a big new refrigerator, stove with 4 burners, oven, microwave, dish washer and all you need to cook a gourmet Italian dinner.
It has also a nice balcony overlooking the courtyard
There is a full bathroom with bathtub and wall hand shower, bidet, sink a mirror.
The master bedroom is at the end and has a private bathroom, ceiling high custom made cupboard.
King size bed , night tables and a desk.
The second bedroom has a full size bed and a sofa bed.
The Air conditioner is on the wall, silent and descret.
Every room has a big window and no too close building outside, make the apartment sunny and bright,
Close the shatters and stay cool.
The lively and elegant area called Prati, is full of shops, restaurants and outdoor cafes. A fresh vegetables and fruit indoor market is few blocks away and groceries stores too including the well known Castroni.
Best served by public transportation and the Metro station, Ottaviano, is a block away.
The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, San Pietro's basilica are just across the Piazza.
Castel Sant'Angelo is at 5 minutes walk: cross the 150mts long bridge and Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona ,the Pantheon as well as all the charming little cobbled streets with their hidden treasures will be there for you to enjoy.
Città del Vaticano, Vatican City, is the smallest Country in the world as it's Basilica, San Pietro, is the biggest and towering. They are pratically across the street and so are the Vatican Museums with Michelangelo masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel.
From San Pietro, walking through Via della Conciliazione, few hundred meters, there is Castel Sant'Angelo.
Built in 123 d.c, as a Mausoleum for the Emperor Adriano and his family, the castle went through continuous changes and developments, going from mausoleum to defensive post, from obscure prison to today the imponent building showing in the severe spaces, the massive walls , the frescoes in the big rooms and telling the
stories of the Eternal City. It's destiny is of been the oldest and constant historical and artistic teller in Rome's panorama.
From the Castle, after crossing the bridge Ponte dell'Angelo on the Tiber river, you are in Piazza Navona, the Pantheon .
Campo dei Fiori, Trevi Fountain and all Baroque and Renessaince beauties.
