The area is located in a prime position to easily visit the most important sights and monuments of the eternal city, and also offers a young and colorful nightlife.

The apartment is 10 minutes walking from Circo Massimo, Bocca della Verità, Terme di Caracalla and hence the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Via del Corso, and many other sites of historical and cultural interest. In addition, only 100 meters from the residence you will find links to Busses and Trams leading to various places in the historical center.

Newly renovated with high quality finishes and tastefully furnished in a modern style, Casa Flo is a quiet and charming apartment on the ground floor, a few steps from the banks of the Tiber River and only a step from Trastevere and the very famous market Portaportese!

The house has an exclusive 80 square metre private garden where you can eat and relax, enjoying the views of the Roman ruins of Porticus Aemilia (II century BC). It also consists of an entrance hall, a double bedroom with two windows, a spacious living room with double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and window.

The house is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms, free Wi-Fi, telephone, Hi-Fi, 40" LCD SmartTV, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, washing machine, hairdryer, safe. Towels and linens are available for our guests.

A block away there is a local market where you can get typical Italian fresh food.

Just 100m from the front door there is a bus stop with which you can reach in 5 minutes the Metro line B and the train station where you can catch direct links to Fiumicino airport and the Central Station. Adjacent to it is also the metro train station of "Rome Lido" from where you can reach the Roman coast and the archaeological site of Ostia Antica.

The Lazio region

In few places do art and life intermingle so effortlessly. This may be the land of Dante, Michelangelo, da Vinci and Botticelli but it's also the home of Salvatore Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani and Gualtiero Marchesi. Food, fashion, art and architecture – you'll quickly learn that the root of Italian pathology is an unswerving dedication to living life well. Lurking behind the disinvoltura – the appearance of effortlessness – is a passionate attention to life's fine print. So slow down, start taking note of life's details and enjoy your own bella vita.

Rome

With an artistic heritage dating back to Etruscan times, Rome is one of the world's great art cities. Throughout history, it has played a starring role in the major upheavals of Western art and the results are there for all to see – amazing classical statues, stunning Renaissance frescoes, breathtaking baroque churches. Walk around the centre and even without trying you'll come across masterpieces by the greats of the artistic pantheon – sculptures by Michelangelo, paintings by Caravaggio, frescoes by Raphael, fountains by Bernini. In Rome, art is not locked away from view, it's quite literally all around you.

For much of its history Rome has been at the centre of world events, first, as caput mundi (capital of the world), the fearsome hub of the Roman Empire, then for centuries as the seat of papal power. It was a city that counted and this is writ large on its historic streets - martial ruins recall ancient glories, stately palazzi evoke Renaissance intrigue, towering basilicas testify to artistic genius and papal ambition. Elsewhere, underground temples, buried houses and maddonelle (roadside shrines) tell of past lives and local beliefs.

A trip to Rome is as much about lapping up the lifestyle as it is gorging on art and historic sights. And there's no better way of getting into the local spirit of things than by eating and drinking well. Food and wine are central to Roman social life and the hundreds of pizzerias, trattorias, restaurants and gelaterie that crowd the city centre do as much business catering to locals as to tourists and out-of-towners. Do as the Romans do, says the proverb, and there's nothing more Roman than enjoying a tasty wood-fired pizza in a packed pizzeria or dining al fresco on a glorious city-centre piazza.
