Villa Camilla is situated in an ideal position: 200 meters away from the lake/beach of Bracciano, 40 km from the centre of Rome, 50 km from the airport Fiumicino, 25 km from the sea. On foot it is possible to reach sport facilities where you can enjoy tennis, beach volley, minigolf, swimming and mini-soccer. It’s also possible, nearby, to rent horses for excursions in the forest is. The beach surrounding the lake, (free or organized), offers the chance of relaxing sun baths. From May until September, it’s possible to carry out nice trip by boat, having the chance to enjoy also the other two villages on the lake, Anguillara and Trevignano Romano. A stay in Villa Camilla is recommended for those who want to visit Rome but would like to stay in the countryside not too far from Rome. A part of the villa is inhabited bij the owners while the other one (completely indipendent) is rented and is able to entertain up to 10 people. The guests have an own zone inside the great garden, so they have enough privacy. The 3 bedrooms and a bathroom are situated in the main home while the dining room with kitchen, divanbed and bathroom are in the cottage (5 meters from the villa).

The Lazio region
There are few areas in the world with so many cultural, archaeological and architectural sites of interest as the Italian region of Lazio. In the first place it is situated in the inexhaustible source of sites of interest in the city of Rome. Everyone know Rome but in the region Lazio there is much more to see. And then Lazio is also flanked on the west by the Mediterranean Sea with its crystal clear colours and numerous islands and in the east by the Apennine mountain ranges, well over 2000 metres. In Lazio nature and culture come together in every way. It is too little known that Lazio is also a region with various splendid lakes. The lakes of Bracciano, Bolsena, Vico and Castelgandolfo, to name the most important.
Rome Lake District / Lake Bracciano area
A stay is recommended for those who want to visit Rome but would like to stay in the countryside not too far from Rome, and those who want to take advantage of the nearby lake of Bracciano with the charming little town of Trevignano and also want to visit lots of historic places like Ostia Antica to the west of Rome, Viterbo, Tuscania, Bracciano, Tarquinia and Cerveteri. Both of the last two towns are mainly known for the Etruscan tombs and the museums with finds from the graves. Then there are various smaller places like Sutri and Calgata, situated in a panoramic tuff stone valley.
The golf field "Le Querce" (18 holes) is only 20 kms away from the holiday home.
How to get there
The city of Rome has 2 airports: Fiumicino/Leonardo da Vinci & Ciampino for low cost flight such as Ryanair, Easyjet. At the airports car rentals available (see http://www.autoeurope.ie/booking/car.cfm?pucode=IT&aff=CASAMERINAIE if you want to book online).
If you want go to the centre of Rome with public transport, about 200 meters from the house, you can take the bus which brings you to the railway station of Bracciano (1 km from the holiday home). The train brings you in half hour in the centre of Rome (station Roma Termini), from there with the underground railway, you can reach several areas of Rome.
