Shangri La is located just five minutes walk from Ormesby and Rollesby Broads, ten minutes' drive from the long sandy beaches of Great Yarmouth, which is considered to be the 'entertainment capital of the East'. Shangri La is situated in a village, opposite a large community playing field, relatively quiet and peaceful, yet only twenty minutes from the beautiful cathedral city of Norwich. There are freshwater fishing lakes just 5 minutes drive, seawater fishing is available within 10 minutes drive, all along the stunning North Norfolk coastline. It has an indoor heated pool.
Every alternate Saturday, during the summer months, the village holds its own car boot sale for bargain hunting, and it also has within 20 minutes walk several excellent restaurants for eating out. The house benefits from its own private pool which is in a pool house separate from the main house and is heated. Leading from the very large conservatory cum dining room is a spacious patio, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one king size bedroom, one double and one twin bedroom, the house is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The ground floor consists of a cloakroom with WC, large lounge with 3 seater and 2 seater sofas plus tub chair, large kitchen fully equipped, utility room with fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier, sitting room for quiet reading, with 3 seater leather sofa and 2 bean bags, large conservatory cum dining room with 2 leather reclining armchairs, dining set seating 6, baby high chair.
First floor is 3 separate bedrooms, king size, double and 2 singles, with a put you up available too and a baby travel cot. Family bathroom has a jacuzzi style bath, with wash basin, wc, and a separate shower cubicle.

Parking on driveway for 4 cars. Gardens front and rear laid mainly to lawn.
There is a large fish pond with carp, orfe and goldfish in the rear garden, though this is completely covered over securely with netting to make it safe for children.
The pool house is separate to main house.

Shangri La is situated within easy reach of many attractions and things to do. It sits within the Norfolk Broads which is now the UK’s largest nationally protected wetland and an important area for wildlife. Admire the beautiful, breathtaking scenery of the Winterton Dunes & Martham Broad National Nature Reserves, there are a wide variety of museums, Cromer Royal & Gt Yarmouth & Caister golf courses, Gt Yarmouth Horse Racing Stadium, Greyhound Racing
Or you can hire a motor cruiser and access miles and miles of gentle waterways glistening in the sunlight with peaceful Norfolk countryside as far as the eye can see. Relax as you listen to the water lapping against the stern and look out for moorhens stirring in the rushes.
Walk or cycle along many of the local walks including Peddars Way. Visit the nature reserves and explore pretty villages. While away the hours watching the wildlife and settle down with a glass of wine as the sun slowly starts to set...
The Rollesby area
A holiday in the Norfolk Broads is like a whole new world.Hire a little motor launch for a day out or just for an afternoon or how about a Canadian style canoe and visit a variety of places including Wroxham, Ludham, Potter Heigham and Loddon.
But it’s not just for boating. You can have fun on land too. You may enjoy walking the 330km of paths and boardwalks through lush swampy woodland. Try your hand at fishing or birdwatching and look out for the Bittern or rare Swallowtail butterfly.
There’s man-made attractions as well as the wildlife. Climb the steps to the top of the tower at St Helen’s Church at Ranworth for a wonderful panoramic view and then pop inside to see one of the finest examples of a medieval rood screen in the country and an exquisite 15th century illuminated songbook. We’ve got countless churches, castles, priories, windpumps, mills and museums to explore! And then come back to the present by taking a ride on the Ra, a solar powered boat named after the Egyptian sun god, that skims the waters on Barton Broad, or take a dawn trip on the Electric Eel, our silent electric boat, for an early morning exploration of the How Hill nature reserve.
If you want a more adventurous family type holiday, then visit the town of Great Yarmouth, for the circus, leisure complexes, entertainment shows, skating rinks, ten pin bowling and more other events too numerous to mention!
Or if your preference is shopping, then visit Norwich with miles of little arcades full of shops and the market place to pick up lots of bargains.
There are also many historic houses and buildings to visit too. During July and August, many local towns have their annual carnival parades too, well worth a visit!
