About the home

In the heart of the Vega Baja, overlooking the Crevillente mountains, close to the Spanish town of Rojales, 10 minutes drive from the beaches of Guardamar. The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a shared swimming pool, a garden, Solarium with panoramic views, and BBQ.

Entering the villa from the front you will come in to the lounge, and modern kitchen, fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, Iron & ironing board. spacious lounge with sofa bed and two armchairs, TV, radio. There are two spacious double ground floor bedrooms, both have large fitted wardrobes with plenty of hanging & storage space, two bathrooms.

There is also a large courtyard leading from the lounge through double patio doors, from the courtyard there are steps leading to a very large solarium, with a room having a daybed for relaxing out of the midday sun. There are a table, chairs, & sun loungers.

It has a quiet location with excellent residential neighbours, yet is only a 10 minutes walk to many local bars, restaurants and supermarkets and only a 10 minute drive to Guardamar, probably the best beaches on the Costa Blanca.

If you prefer to stay by the communal pool, for your comfort there is a picnic area. Your stay here will be an enjoyable one. Weekly street markets are held in the local towns of Rojales and Benijofar. The lively town of Ciudad Quesada with its night-life is only 15 minutes walk.

The villa comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

Entertainment :
The villa has television DVD. The music system will play CDs, radio.

Eating & living :
There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a Solarium with panoramic views, (see below for details) If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find climbing, flying, mountain biking, historic sites, a zoo, a themepark.

Located next to the mouth of the River Segura, Guardamar overlooks a long beach bordered by a large expanse of sand dunes covered with pines and eucalyptus. The setting is one of the most unique scenes in the Land of Valencia, with an original combination of extensive coastal dunes protected by a verdant forest, fertile fields and orchards and the omnipresent beach and the Mediterranean sea.

The forest parkland of the Dunas de Guardamar, with over 800 hectares running parallel to the coast, is a wonder in a class of its own.

The Rojales area

Car hire is recommended, and we can arrange this for you, however there are shops, bars, and restaurants within walking distance, and the quaint Spanish town of Rojales with its interesting cave houses and weekly street market is only a few minutes walk, also the Spanish village of Benijofar with a weekly street market selling fresh home grown produce, is only a few minutes walk.

The area surrounding Rojales Hills has everything from beautiful clean blue flag beaches to a vast array of bars & restaurants. It also has many golf courses 3 within 10 minutes drive away at La Marquesa (Ciudad Quesada) Villa Martin, Las Ramblas & Campoamour all pay & play but its best to book (Garry can arrange special discounts for golfers). Cycle hire is available with a free delivery service direct to the villa. Details are in the information folder.

The nearest large coastal town is Guardamar Del Segura with its European Blue Flag Beaches and is only 10 minutes drive, with a good range of shops, a weekly market plus a large marina with a promenade which holds regular evening craft fairs. We have also provided an information folder which we have compiled from our visits which we hope you find useful.

Guestbook for Villa Citrino Rojales Hills

Villa Citrino was very well equipped, the scenery and views from roof terrace were lovely, but it was unfortunately on an urbanisation, the Benimar villa estate, mostly british, which we didnt realise when booking. It was also further from amenities than expected, in info it had said town of Rojales is a few minutes walk and it was more like 30-40mins. There were pubs and restaurants within a shorter walk but these were on the urbanisation and very british tourist oriented- indian/italian/chinese.

This was our second time to this villa, we had such a good time in June, we booked straight away to go back in Setpember. What a truely relaxing holiday. Local people are really friendly, especially the people who live on the street permanately. They even invited us to their street party on the Saturday night, all done in really good taste, not rowdy at all. Again, Gary was fantastic. Even took us to see another larger villa with its own pool. Really lovely place, ideal if you have a two couples who just want to chill, outsdie bar loads of room around the grounds. Would definately book there if we have someone else to go with. Will definately be back next year.
