About the home

Trehayl is arguably one of Rocks most desirable locations. This recently constructed contemporary property has magnificent uninterrupted views of the Camel Estuary from its elevated position, yet is only 50m from the beach.
It is within walking distance of the Rock Sailing Club, Rock Sailing and Water Ski Schools and the famous St. Enodoc Golf Club. It is just a few minutes walk to restaurants, shops, cafes and the ferry to Padstow

Rock, Padstow and the North Cornwall Coast

This is the ideal place to relax and unwind. ideal for families, friends or couples, with so much on offer you will never be bored! Activites include walking, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing, surfing, fishing and sailing to simply unwinding on the beautiful sandy beaches and enjoying a good book.

The Rock area

Across the estuary from Padstow is the charming village of Rock; its popularity with celebrities draws in crowds during the summer months, most wanting to be part of the affluent culture. However, it is out of season that the beauty of Rock can truly be appreciated. It has a beautiful mile long sandy beach that is punctuated with sand dunes and the crystal waters of the Camel Estuary.

During the day there is a ferry that runs between Padstow and Rock plus additional water taxis which run into the evening.

Padstow is a small fishing town nestled around a bustling harbour on the North Cornwall coast, just a few miles from Newquay. Its protected location in the Camel Estuary means visitors to Padstow can sit and enjoy watching the boats land their catch, try their hand at some fishing or enjoy some delicious cuisine in one of Padstow’s many cafes and restaurants

Between Rock and Padstow the choices of where to eat are extensive and delectable. Choose from Michelin starred and celebrity Chefs (Paul Ripley of Ripleys, Rick Stein’s café, restaurant and bistro) plus many other restaurants and cafes that offer fine cuisine that won’t disappoint even the most discernable foodie. Not to be left out, there are many bakeries and fish shops where you’ll find a traditional Cornish pasty and a fantastic fish and chip supper!

There is also a fantastic 18 hole golf course at St Enodoc in Rock (within 5 minutes walk) where you can enjoy some of the finest golfing in the country along with some of the greatest sea and estuary views.

The beach is only 50metres from Trehayl. Here you can relax or for the more active enjoys sailing or watwerskiing organised by the watersports team on the beach.

“Trehayl - the Cornish property that will never disappoint!” We have stayed at Trehayl in 2010/11 in May and June respectively, and in both good and inclement weather we had our dream Cornish holiday. The property is top class with excellent amenities, standard of finish and comfort for all age groups. The children adore the space and position within Rock together with the fabulous heated pool. The house offers plenty of room so that as a family of four with grandparents in tow, everyone was able to enjoy their own space when needed! The views are exceptional and regardless of weather you feel like you are able to enjoy an outdoor holiday without even stepping out of the door! Communal spaces are very sociable and a pleasure to be in. Furthermore the bedrooms are extremely comfortable with fully equipped and high standard ensuites. To cap it all, Padstow, Polzeath and the adjacent Cornish coastline are all nearby and provide fantastic days out, not forgetting the beautiful St Enodoc golf course 2 mins walk from the house.
