About the home

Rockhaven is located only a couple of miles from the village and beach of Rock on the North Cornish coast and is a wonderful peaceful haven that we enjoy as a family as often as we can away from the rat race in such a beautiful and glorious location!

The property is a family owned luxury self catering Cornish holiday cottage with all the modern amenities such as a fast Wi-Fi broadband connection, two separate Sky TV signals to allow different channels in different rooms, video and DVD players, two en-suite master bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, family bathroom, separate shower room, large kitchen diner which leads onto an expansive decking area, sliding glass doors from the living room onto the decking and a separate upstairs living room.

The property is located close to the village and beach of Rock on the North Cornwall coast within the Camel Estuary and opposite Padstow with its Rick Stein restaurants and hotel. The house is in an ideal location with four excellent golf courses within a radius of 15 miles, the surfing beaches of Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Newquay, the Camel Trail, coastal footpath and of course the world renowned Eden Project.

The West Country / Cornwall region

Rock is located on the North Cornwall coast, opposite Padstow with its Rick Stein restaurants and hotel. The world renowned Eden Project is a 40 minute drive away. The spectacular coastal footpath is close by, together with several National Trust properties and gardens and the stunning Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The Rock area

Within Rock there are excellent local shops, including butcher, baker, fishmonger, post office, newsagent, restaurants/pubs, fuel station, local supermarket. hardware store, deli, together with a doctor's surgery. There are four excellent golf courses within a radius of 10 miles, the surfing beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay, the Camel Trail with bike hire facilities in Wadebridge and Padstow. A continuous ferry service operates from Rock to Padstow across the Camel Estuary.

“Lovely house, great views, excellent location.” We arrived at the house 2 hours early after a very clear motorway and it was ready for us to check in. The owners had kindly left us a lovely treat and a card which was a nice surprise. The house was perfect, I liked that it had two living rooms. If you're travelling as two families it's nice to be able to have a bit of time to yourselves if you need to and it was also nice to have two seperate sky boxes so that the kids could watch what they wanted downstairs whilst the adults could watch something else in the quiet room upstairs. The views from the upstairs living room are fantastic. The garden is also great, as there was plenty of space for the kids to run around and the decking was a good place to have a bbq. The only small criticism would be that the house was a bit dusty, but this could easily be sorted out. The location couldn't have been better for the main attractions of Cornwall, and we had a fantastic meal at the Dining Room restaurant in Rock. There is a passenger ferry during the day from Rock to Padstow and a water taxi at night. We had a fanntasic holiday and would love to go again.
