The house was built in the 16th Century and is situated in the historic part of the village. Downstairs, the house comprises of a modern kitchen/lounge with two sofas with dining for up to four persons. A tiled bathroom includes a shower, wc and sink. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a comfortable king size bed with two single foldaway beds. A baby's cot is also available. Central heating keeps the house cosy in the cooler months.

Roccacasale is ideally placed to enjoy the outdoor delights of walking and skiing. The well appointed ski resort of Roccaraso. Ski schools and uncrowded pistes are just 30 minutes drive away .

There are numerous delightful villages to visit, many with their own picturesque castles, such as Pacentro and Capestrano. Sulmona is famous for its confetti, sugar-coated almonds, and also hosts an amazing medieval jousting tournament in the Piazza Maggiore at the end of July.

Other sight-seeing excursions include the animal sanctuary and wolf museum near Popoli, the beautiful mountain lakes of Scanno and Bomba the underground caves of Stiffe.
