Original farmhouse with modern bathrooms on Riverton thoroughbred horse stud and wine farm. Nestled in the heart of wine tasting in the Breede Valley, 6 km from the restaurants in the village of Robertson.

Relax in the shade of the long veranda and drink in the magnificent views of the horse paddocks and vineyards back-dropped by the Langeberg mountains. The bedrooms have either an ac or a fan and panel heater and coffee/tea making facilities. The home is spacious with a lounge, dining room, breakfast room, fully equipped kitchen and family/games room with a flat screen TV offering the full DSTV bouquet of channels.

Guests are welcome to walk around the farm or wander down to the river for a spot of fishing. Young children must please not walk around unaccompanied as our horses aren't tame. Horse riding can be organised at the nearby Robertson Riding School.

The Western Cape region

The scenic beauty of the garden route along the eastern seaboard is indeed something to behold. The Mother City, Cape Town, is a thriving cosmopolitan tourist mecca with the V&A Waterfront at it's center. A trip by cable car up Table Mountain is a must! Inland the Breede Valley in the Klien Karoo offers quality wines at quaff-able prices! Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is one of several malaria free game reserves that offer safaris to view the Big Five.

Robertson

The people in the picturesque Robertson area are warm and friendly. Wine tasting is usually offered at no charge. Viljoensdrift wine estate also offers picnic lunches to be enjoyed on board a river cruise down the Breede. Nerina offers authentic South African cuisine breakfasts, lunches & sundown dinners on board a barge. Bird's Paradise has 300 cages of exotic birds and animals with a play park for the children to enjoy whilst the adults enjoy the tea room. Breakfast or partake of a low GI lunch under the pepper trees or in air conditioned luxury at Bon Courage wine estate. Celebrate sun down at Mo & Rose whilst strolling through their extensive cactus garden.
