Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Piper's Cottage is the end property of a traditional Wealden Hall House, dating from roughly 1400 and is beautifully refurbished with Farrow and Ball painted walls and woodwork, exposed oak beams and a stunning brick fireplace with a fully working wood burner. There is a well equipped kitchen with an aga-style electric cooker, king size bed and luxury bathroom.
The rooms are arranged thus - large kitchen with dining area, large downstairs room arranged as a living room with sofa and armchair, plus sleeping area with kingsize bed. Upstairs is an additional sitting area with sofa/daybed and armchair which can be arranged as a bedroom with one or two single beds. The bathroom adjoins this room.
Situated 7 mins walk from mainline rail station, well situated for the 1066 attractions at Battle, Hastings and Pevensey and close to many National Trust and English Heritage properties and gardens. Families are well provided for by the adventure parks at Bedgebury Pinetum and Bewl Water and the seaside resorts at Hastings or Bexhill.
Robertsbridge village amenities include several great pubs which also have restaurants, an Indian restaurant, two excellent farm shops, a post office and local doctors' and dentists' surgeries. The Kent and East Sussex Railway are soon to connect the village to the steam line that runs between Bodiam Castle and Tenterden.

"Great place, great location, helpful owners."
The cottage has excellent facilities including a washing machine and dishwasher. It is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and fittings. Downstairs is a sitting room/bedroom and kitchen/eating area and upstairs is a bedroom with the bathroom off it. While it is probably best suited to a family than 2 couples, which was our party, it still worked OK.
Mhairi and Adrian are very welcoming and helpful and live next door.
Robertsbridge is pleasant village and a good base to explore West Sussex and Kent - by car and on foot. There are good shops in the village and plenty of places to eat.
Many thanks for your lovely review. We're really, really pleased you enjoyed your time in the cottage and in our beautiful and friendly village!
