WHAT TO DO IN SLIGO:- In Sligo, you can surf on some of the best waves Ireland has to offer in Strandhill or Streedagh, or you could try something more adventurous like Shark Fishing off Mullaghmore. Maybe a river cruise on Lough Gill sounds more appealing or simply relax in the world famous Voya Seaweed baths in Strandhill. Sligo is steeped in heritage and culture. WB Yeats once said that Sligo was the "Land of Heart's Desire."

The landscape is peppered with monuments, stretching back as far as 5,000 years. There's also good sailing, horse trekking and golf.
