About the home

The apartment is located in the centre of Riva del Garda not more than 2 mins walking distance from the beach. The town is located at the north-western corner of Lake Garda also called Benàco (70 m above sea level). Mount Rocchetta (1,575 m) rises steeply to the west, with Mount Baldo (2,218 m) to the east. This location makes Riva del Garda one of the most spectacular spots around Lake Garda.

With its two harbours Riva del Garda is well equipped for sailing and windsurfing for which it's worldfamous. Among the other sports Riva del Garda offers great opportunities for rock climbing, canyoning, diving, fishing, golfing, mountainbiking, paragliding, wakeboarding and many other outdoor activities.

The North East Italy / Trentino-South Tyrol region

Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol is an autonomous region in Northern Italy. It consists of two provinces: Trento and Bolzano, where in the latter the majority of the population speak German as their first language. The region was part of Austria-Hungary from 1815 until its annexation by Italy in 1919. It was officially referred to as Venezia Tridentina between 1919 and 1947 and Trentino-Alto Adige/Tiroler Etschland between 1947 and 1972.

The region is bordered by Austria to the north, by Switzerland to the north-west and by the Italian regions of Lombardy and Veneto to the west and south, respectively. It covers 13,619 km² (5,256 mi²). It is extremely mountainous, covering a large part of the Dolomites and the southern Alps. The lowest pass across the Alps, the Brenner Pass, is located at the far north of the region on the border with Austria.

The tourist sector in Trentino Alto Adige is important and it is ever-increasing, thanks to his beautiful mountains in the Dolomiti zone which represent together with the lake Garda another world famous resort where both winter and summer holidays can be enjoyed.

The Riva del Garda area

Riva del Garda is particularly charming. The colour blue of the water is more intense, the sunlight more vivid and the air is oxygenated by the mountains and purified by the Lake Garda breeze which blows and fills the coloured sails of the windsurfs. The beaches, surrounded by vegetation or steep rocks, are wide and sunny. The Mediterranean vegetation consisting of olive trees, lemon trees, palms and bay trees, record the changing of the seasons. Here, where the lake ends and the Brenta Dolomites start, the tourist can enjoy a splendid holiday full of opportunities: history, art, sports and nature.
Particularly interesting to see in Riva is the Rocca built in 1124 to defend the lake, today seat of the Civic Museum and of the Picture Gallery. Baroque buildings such as the church of the Inviolata and the one dedicated to S. M. Assunta are of great interest. Riva del Garda offers its tourists the opportunity to practise all sports according to the taste: sailing, surfing, sports angling, walking, bowls, cycling, tennis, climbing, canoeing, etc.

The closest airports to Riva del Garda are the Verona Airport (Ryanair connection with London) and Milan Bergamo airport Ryanair and Easyjet (connections with other 30 cities in Europe). Once arrived at the airport the best thing to do is to rent a car and drive to Riva (45 mins from Verona, 1h from Bergamo).
If you don't want to rent a car then you need to:

- (from Verona) take a bus to Verona bus station and take bus to Riva del Garda
- (from Bergamo) take a bus to Brescia bus station and then again a bus to Riva del Garda
