Northern England region

The Yorkshire Dales is home to over 1,500 square kilometres of the renowned Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is characterised by its unspoilt Dales villages, patchwork of dry stone walls and stunning fells and dales countryside.
Visitors are able to travel for miles along quiet country roads, surrounded by magnificent views in every direction; an area dotted with ancient farming communities and rural villages which is typical of this region.
This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.

Kirkby Malzeard is a quintessential English village which offers tea rooms, shops and cosy pubs within walking distance of the cottage. It also provides easy access to surrounding areas of history, interest and stunning scenery. Situated within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rambling and cycle paths are accessible from the cottage with more adventurous pursuits of canoeing, caving and rock climbing available at nearby How Stean Gorge. Lightwater Valley theme park for the children is less than 15 minutes drive whilst two breweries for adults in the group are located in the pretty market town of Masham! The Cathedral City of Ripon is a bustling area with restaurants, shops and the impressive Cathedral to explore, with York and Harrogate also highly deserving of a visit. Stop for high tea at the world famous Betty's Tea Room in Harrogate for some wonderful refreshments delivered with old-time elegance.
