Home description
The property is set in 8,000 metres of olive grove with un-interrupted views. The access is off an old roman track, the old route of the olives from riogordo to the coastal port of caleta de velez. Although it is such a quiet, peaceful location it is within easy access the local white villages of Benamargosa & Riogordo. The casa is south facing with all day sun. For those who prefer the shade, there are shady terraced areas also. To sit & enjoy a chilled glass of vino or a gin & tonic, add lemon from your own tree. Within easy reach of very good restaurants that overlooking lake Vinuela. Close enough for a trip to the coast ( 30 mins)

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Axarquia is a beautiful region of the Costa del Sol. Famous for its olive growing. The route of the olives goes back to roman times. It produces 80% of Europe’s Avocados .They can be seen growing in lush river beds creating a stunning deep green vista. It is all surrounded by rolling hills & white villages dotted on the hillsides. The climate during the winter is pleasant, little rain & lots of sun Granada is 90mins, with the famous Alhambra Cordoba & Seville are 2hrs away.
Riogordo area
Riogordo is famous world-wide for its annual "El Paso" at Easter; with a cast of over 400 inhabitants it is unique. A typical white village nestled in a valley with a stunning backdrop of the Grey Alfarnate Mountain range. Very peaceful, but with its own museum & 2 churches. It also has numerous bars & shops still unspoilt by progress .Though most items you may need can be found. The unique town of Comares can be seen ,clinging to it's mountain top it is visable throughout valley.It still has the remains of it's Moorish heritage.A town of narrow streets , a central plaza & stunning views of the Axarquia & the Mediterrian .A couple of bars , un-touched by tourism. La vinuela is just 10 mins away with lakeside restaurants. Torre del mar your nearest seaside resort is 25 mins.It has numerous shops & cafes . It has a long esplanade ,with chironguitos (beach bars) wher you can have fresh sardines & enjoy looking out at the med. A coast ride of 20 minutes fron Torre del mar brings you to Nerja, with it's famous Balcon de Europa.Here are also the stunning caves to visit .
How to get there
Malaga Airport is 50 minutes away .Our nearest village is Riogordo. The journey from Malaga airport is very easy. Motorway towards Granada from Malaga to Casabermerja , At Casabermeja, the road is quiet & goes through a stunning valley. Riogordo is our local village, good place to stop for provisions & a chilled beer in one of the bars. Turn off past the olive mill heading towards Comares & Benamargosa. At Las Cuevas the road climbs up past Bar Ortega (another useful place to stop at) The road continues on over the ridge & the property sits just on the hillside. Accessed off an old camino route of the olives. Turn up the private drive.

Further details indoors: A bright airy rustic charm with all mod -cons. All windows have mosquito screens & blinds. A small herb garden for your Al-Fresco cooking. There are a large selection of books & games .Also DVD’s. Hospitality, honesty drinks tray is provided for your use. You will find a basic supply of groceries provided for you in the fridge on your arrival. just in case you’re flying times make it difficult to shop. All Linen & Towels are provided. Crisp white cotton, for your comfort. Beach Towels also provided for the sunloungers or to take to the beach.
Internet Connection is available by prior arrangement for a small fee.
Further details outdoors: Out-door BBQ, plus seating for 6 under an ancient olive tree. Additional seating under sunshade, Sun loungers by the pool, plus sun umbrella. Shady area with a small fountain. The patio goes all around the casa, so sun & shade whenever you want it. The pool is accessed off the level patio from the casa, the pool has uninterrupted views across the valley towards Comares (hilltop town) .A stunning view at night!!
Further details
Either david or myself will be available to clean & check the pool for your . This will need to be done at least twice a week .It will be done by prior arrangements with yourselves . With respect to your privacy & to also To ensure ithat the pool is always in pristine condition for you.
Conditions
Mid week bookings considered to help secure the cheaper mid-week flights. Strictly no smoking other than outside on the patios. Property is not suitable for the elderly or children under 12years. 25% rental fee due 6 weeks before your stay to secure your booking. Refundable breakages deposit of £50.00 required on arrival to be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure.

Our first visit to your villa in July, we had a fantastic time, tried out the local bar, shopped in riogordo, rested, read & got a suntan. Drank chilled rioja under the olive tree.
