The East Norway/Oslo region

Eastern Norway is framed by mountains, sea, rivers and valleys. The landscape goes from sea level at Oslo to all mountains above 2000 moh at Jotunheimen and Rondane. The traditions and customs are changing quickly when you trave through this region.

Lillehammer had Winter Olympics in 1994 and the area is a great destination for winter activities.

Ringebu

Ringebu/Lillehammer had Winter Olympics in 1994 and the area is a great destination for winter activities. Venabygdsfjellet is further north and on the way you pass Hafjell and Kvitfjell which are two great desinations for downhill skiing.

Venabygdsfjellet is more for the back-country skier with 120 km tracks in a wide area south of Rondane national park.

In the summer time people enjoy the long days and short nights in a outdoor life close to their cabins or further into the unspoiled mountain area.
