Home description

The house was newly built in 2006 and sleeps 4/6 people. It makes part of the Domaine Couleur Mental'Ô with 5 other holidayhouses each in the same Provencial style. Every comfort is offered - see below for more details!
Ther are 2 or 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, large livingroom, open kitchen, terras and little private garden,child playing garden...
Evening dinner is served in mai, june , september, 3 times a week.
The property is ideally located for sports, activities and excursions to the typical villages in the Provence region: Riez, Saint Jurs, Moustiers Sainte Marie, Aix-en-Provence, Roussillon, Gordes, and many more. It is only 15km from the Thermal Baths in Gréoux les Bains. Everything necessary to enjoy an unforgettable holiday in Provence.

There are two swimming pool for the guests an a small one special for the little ones. Protected according to the standards.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region

Allemagne en Provence, is a very small village situated at 8km from Riez and at 11km from valensole. You can find here, some local bars and a small shop.

The most impressive spot to visit in Allemagne en Provence is definitely its beautiful Castle form the XVI century. You have the possibility to visit, in company of a guide, and admire the magnificent gardens around the castle.

Riez / Allemagne en Provence area

One of the most famous spots to visit are The Gorges du Verdon, which is one of Europe's most beautiful river canyons. One of its most distinguished characteristics is its turquoise-green colour. You can drive around the Gorges du Verdon but you can also rent a kayak and explore the inside of the magnificent and seemingly endless walls.

There are several villages with a very typical architectal character in the region but Moustiers Saint Marie, or simply Moustiers is definitely the most charming and romantic.

Lying at the western entrance of the Gorges du Verdon, the village has been a centre of the pottery trade, especially faïence for centuries. You'll find many places with souvenirs of this famous pottery.

For those who like to swim while admiring a beautiful sight there are the numerous lakes such as the one of Saint croix which lies at 15 km from riez, but there is also the lake of Esparron at 10km from Allemagne en provence. Once again you'll be fascinated by the transparent water.

The region is well known for its lavendel, the best place to admire the beautiful purple fields is a very small village called Saint Jurs, which lies against the "massif du montdenier" a chain of mountains. Saint Jurs is situated at 15km from Riez. It is also the perfect place to go walking while enjoying the quiet nature. There are also the local markets in Riez, on saturdays and wednesdays, where you'll find the gastronomic specialities of the region while experiencing the typical southern atmosphere.

There are lots of sport activities, such as rafting or canyoning in the "Gorges du Verdon". If you enjoy a beautiful hike we recomand the "Sentier Martel" which is a pathway that travels on near 15km of the river Verdon from the chalet de la maline to the point sublime. For the more adventurous types, there is a quad rental, equestrianism, paragliding, climbing and numerous other exciting possibilities.

Comming from Aix-en-Provence: taking the motorway A51 direction Sisteron-Gap.Leaving at SAINT PAUL LEZ DURANCE, folow Vinon sur Verdon, Gr�oux les Bains, Saint Martin de Br�mes, Allemagne en Provence. Station TGV at Aix en Provence ( 1 h drive), possibility to hire a car at the station. Airport at Marseille ( 1h 15 min drive) also possibility to hire a car.
Also airport Nice: 2h drive.
