Nestled in the heart of the region is the Valle de Ricote which stretches from Cieza in the north to Archena in the south along the Segura River, which offers water rafting or canoeing. And surrounded by the National Park's of Sierra's de Ricote, del Oro and Espuna ,with marked walkways and cycle path's.
Nearby in the town of Archena is a Balneario( Spa) once used by the Romans and now modernised to offer treatments in the thermal pools and pampering or just bathing and a fun day out, for the whole family.
There is plenty of opportunity to visit the local vineyards in Jumilla and Bullas, with tours and tastings and of coarse to buy the best wines in the region.
