Located in the small hamlet of Gayles, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, in unspoilt countryside. The historic market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle are close by, offering a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities. Both towns have impressive castles, set in prime position to protect the Pennine Way. North of Gayles stands High Force Waterfall, the biggest in Great Britain, where walks above and below are popular. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach the Lake District, Seaham Beach, City of Durham, numerous National Trust properties and gardens and various quaint Yorkshire villages and towns. Locally there is a village pub and restaurant serving good food with a big welcome.
