Tipi/Teepee | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Hillcrest Park is our rural, 6 acre, holiday location in the northernmost of the Yorkshire Dales, Teesdale. Surrounded by farmland, it offers peace, tranquillity and beautiful views of Teesdale – yet is only 10mins from the A66. It is ideal for walkers, cyclists and dog owners (we have a dog walking field onsite) and is close to Richmond, Barnard Castle, High Force Waterfall, Raby Castle and a host of other Dales attractions.
Hillcrest was once a working farm, but the outbuildings have been converted into Holiday Cottages and we now have Camping Pods for those who want all the pleasure of camping and outdoorsiness, but without the hassle of wet tents on a windy day. Most importantly, we aim to offer all our guests a comfortable, get-away-from-it all, rural retreat.
Onsite, we have centrally heated (and free!) showers and loos, plus an indoor pot washing room with fridge, microwave and coin operated laundry.
Each pod is insulated with sheeps wool and has a fully carpeted interior with a heater, lights and electric sockets.

Northern England region
Teesdale is one of the northernmost of the Yorkshire Dales and spreads into Co Durham. It has many beautiful attractions, such as High Force Waterfall, Raby Castle and Bowes Museum. Barnard Castle is the attractive market town at the heart of Teesdale and hosts and varied market every week. The Teesdale Way is just a short walk from us and offers a pretty walk along the River Tees with a dog-friendly pub conveniently situated halfway!
Hillcrest Park is situated between the villages of Winston and Caldwell and we are lucky enough to have 3 pubs within 2 miles of us. The amenities of Richmond and Barnard Castle are a short drive away, and we are still within striking distance of the Lake District, the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast.
