The North Wales region
North Wales is region of rugged landscapes with a rocky coastline with rocky cliffs, and wide sandy beaches and estuaries and straits offering a diverse landscape bordering the rolling inland hills around the mountainous Snowdonia National Park. Historic Roman Cities and castles attract much interest as do the seaside resorts.
Over one of the historic bridges spanning the beautiful Menai Straits, is the green Isle of Anglesey with it's own special microclimate.
Rhosneigr, nestled on the edge of a glorious horseshoe bay, with beautiful long white sandy beaches, punctuated with black rocks and interesting rock pools waiting to be explored. Many activities available on hand such as all the watersports you can imagine (with tuition and rentals available from the local surf shop), golf, horse riding, tennis and gokarting a little further afield on the island. Slightly further afield are many beautiful seaside resorts and unlimited cliff top or beach side walks. Just off the island is the Snowdonia National Park and Ireland is within reach for a easy trip by ferry from Holyhead.
There are three pubs in the village and often musical entertaintment.
There is plenty of choice for dining in Rhosneigr, and within a 20 minute drive can be found some top class and famous restaurants such as the White Eagle at Rhos Collin and Ye Old Bulls Head Inn, Beaumauris.
