The North Wales region

The Menai Straits separates the Isle of Anglesey from the coast of North Wales and access is via one of the two landmark bridges that cross the straits.

The island has been a popular holiday destination for years and has a wealth of outdoor pursuits to offer, hiking, surfing, sailing, golfing or just good old fashioned rock pool fishing.

The scenery on Anglesey is breathtaking and very diverse, from the beautiful Snowdonia mountain range to the various lakes and beaches.

Rhosneigr has two beautiful beaches, Town beach where you can watch the kitesurfers ,windsurfers and jet skiers enjoy the bay. Or Broad beach ideal for building sandcastles, rock pooling or climbing the sand dunes.

The village has a good mix of shops, cafes and restaurants including the Oyster Catcher .Also in the village is a tennis club and golf course. There is enough here to park your car at the beginning of your stay and not have to drive until you depart to go home. Or it makes an ideal base for exploring Anglesey and North Wales.

For wild life enthusiasts there is Llyn Maelog, a lake which attracts various bird life.

We had an excellent holiday at Whispering Sands. It took less than a minute to walk to the beach! The beds were really comfy and the log fire was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

"Very comfortable and only 2 minutes to the beach!"

The property was very comfortable with most facilities available. It is lacking a washing machine although there is a launderette nearby if you need one and no freezer. We walked on the almost empty beach every day, picking up shells, building sand castles and paddling in the many rock pools as the tide went out. The area is perfect for families and the house is highly recommended.

Thank you for your comments we are looking to put in a freezer in the near future.
