The North Wales / Anglesey region
Just across from the mainland, Anglesey, an island off the northwest tip of Wales. It is
a wonderful place to visit, with its lovely countryside, spectacular beaches, fascinating history and rich heritage. The island has an excellent variety of enjoyable attractions that will keep families entertained for days. Forty minutes drive will take you to Snowdonia and all the wonders of the national park.
The Rhosneigr area
Whatever your age, whatever the weather, there is always something to enjoy: from walks on the beach to a Victorian gaol to a sea zoo; from the quiet world of exotic butterflies to a thrilling boat trip. Historic castles, nature reserves and museums can all be found on Anglesey whilst,
The popular towns of Bangor and Caernarfon are also well worth a visit.
The closest village is Rhoseigr where you can sail, surf, kite surf, wind surf, and surf canoeing or
horse riding on beach. You can also fish, bird watch (at South Stack) or play golf. Faraway is also only a mile from The Anglesey Circuit - Trac Mon - if you fancy a bit of racing!

We spent 4 nights here over Easter and could not fault the cottage. It had everything we needed, and the views and proximity to the beach are just perfect. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to others.

I spent many happy childhood holidays around Anglesey, and chose this cottage for the perfect location - it is a short trip from many famous spots but is also perched right on the edge of a lovely Anglesey beach.
To arrive and then find that the cottage is beautiful, each room lovely, the lounge a great size for everyone to socialise in, the local shop selling fuel for the open fire just round the corner, the kitchen full of every tool you might need to cook each night - from rolling pins to pastry brushes - was completely amazing.
A wonderful holiday at a great price. The cottage is accommodating down to the last detail, new power shower and gorgeous large bath! Everything! And close enough for a swim in the Irish Sea on New Year's Day then running straight back to the fire!
Can't recommend it highly enough. Suited all the needs of our varied group of walkers/swimmers/quiet-stay-in-and-readers. The only problem is that you won't want to leave.
