About the home

The property comprises spacious living/dining and kitchen area fully equipped with hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, American style fridge/freezer, with table and seating for 6. (Separate utility room with built in washing machine.) There is also a cosy sitting room with comfy sofas.

Sky TV is available in both lounge areas and the master bedroom.

There are four bedrooms two of which are en-suite and two further bedrooms with four single beds one of which is trundle type bed.

The spacious family bathroom includes a separate shower.

Freshly laundered bed linen, bath mats, and tea towels are provided. An excellent standard of cleanliness is assured.

The garden area runs to 0.75 acres which is ideal for large families and has 270 degree views of the coastline and both Rhoscolyn and Silver Bay beaches, which are both just 10 minutes walk away.

Facilities

Rhoscolyn (or Borthwen) Beach is a beautiful horse-shoe cove, accessible by car only via a narrow winding lane from the village. Set in a sheltered dip between dramatic rocky cliffs and just 10 minute’s walk from our house, Hilltop, Rhoscolyn is very popular with families. The beach offers safe swimming, clean white sands, and plenty of shallow paddling water - all with glorious views looking out over the sea to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond.

Those looking for greater solitude should find it on Silver Bay Beach, also only 10 minutes’ walk from the house. Completely off the beaten track, Silver Bay is an idyllic crescent-shaped beach visited mainly by surfers chasing the perfect wave.

Both beaches were awarded Blue Flag status in 2011.

Rhoscolyn village itself consists of a church, the well-known White Eagle gastro pub, a handful of scattered houses and cottages, and an ancient (or possibly not) burial chamber. The village centre lies about a mile inland. The nearest food shop is Spar in Valley; alternatively you can visit the local shops in Trearrdur Bay, or treat yourself to a take-away frozen meal prepared by the White Eagle’s chefs. It’s a short drive to Holyhead for supermarkets and other shopping.

Hilltop is located in the rural area of Rhoscolyn, which is a rural area on the south side of Holy Island, and is set within the Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Hilltop is a short walk to the Rhoscolyn beaches, the Anglesey Coastal Path (a 125-mile walking route around the island), and local pub The White Eagle

The award-winning Borthwen Beach, the closest public beach to Hilltop, is a popular spot with locals and tourists alike and it is an excellent beach for all sorts of recreation pursuits, including bathing, walking and sailing. The very popular White Eagle Pub is just 2O mins walk away or 5 mins by Car.

Silver Bay Beach is also just a short walk away.

The popular seaside towns of Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay are also just 20 mins drive away
