About the home

Villa Zeus is a luxury modern villa, built only a few years ago, situated on a large, quiet plot, between the Rhodes Town/Lindos road and the sea. It enjoys beautiful mountain views and views from the upstairs balconies, down to the sea.

Villa Zeus is the perfect location at which to sit back and enjoy a "do nothing" holiday. The villa has its own 8m x 4m pool and the garden is fully equipped with sun loungers, as well as tables and chairs for outdoor dining. When it gets too hot, the villa is fully air conditioned and boasts TV, satellite and DVD player. The nearest supermarket (open 7 days a week) is only a 5 - 10 minute walk. There are also a few restaurants within a similar distance.

If you want a more active holiday, Villa Zeus is the perfect base from which to explore the Island. There are a series of beautiful beaches within a 15 mintue drive and many more, if you wish to explore further afield. It is half way between ancient Rhodes Town, the capital, and picturesque Lindos. It is also only a few kilometers from 7 Springs and the Valley of the Butterflies. A little further still, you can discover the beautiful mountains of Rhodes.

Villa Zeus has three bedrooms, all on the first floor. Two of the bedrooms have double beds. The third has twin beds. Each room has large wardrobes and a mirror and dressing table/surface. The first floor also features the family bathroom, comprising sink with large marble counter top, WC and bath with shower head.

Downstairs, the villa comprises a large living area, with sofas, TV, satellite receiver, DVD and CD/Radio stereo. There is also a Shower room with WC, and the fully fitted kitchen/laundry area. The Kitchen has a breakfast table and 6 chairs.

Cot and high chair are available on request.

The villa boasts a very large villa plot of approximately one metric acre. The plot is landscaped with lawns and mature trees and shrubs. There is a 8m x 4m private pool.

The Aegean Islands region

The Aegean Islands are a group of islands in the Aegean Sea, with mainland Greece to the west and north and Turkey to the east; the island of Crete delimits the sea to the south. The ancient name of the Aegean Sea, Archipelago, was later applied to the islands it contains and is now used more generally, to refer to any island group.

Villa Zeus is situated on former agricultural land, not far from the Valley of the Butterflies and 7 Springs. Being close to the coast, it benefits from any cooling breeze that comes off the sea in the summer.

The Rhodes area

Rhodes is full of interesting and beautiful places to visit. The are numerous ancient monuments to see, and the anceint walled city of Rhodes Town is world famous.

In ancient times, Rhodes was home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Colossus of Rhodes. This giant bronze statue once stood in the harbour. It was completed in 280 BC but was destroyed in an earthquake in 224 BC. No trace of the statue remains today.

Rhodes is approximately 3.5 hours from the UK by direct flight. Easy Jet flies direct from the UK twice weekly from Gatwick (Wednesday and Saturday) from April to October. Other scheduled and charter services fly direct during this period between these months from Gatwick and other UK airports.

There are numerous other direct flights to Rhodes from other Eurpoean airports. Out of season, Rhodes is easily reached by flight to Athens and a 40 minute connecting flight (e.g. Aegean Airlines) to Rhodes
