Afandou heights Villa is located just five minutes’ walk from the beach, on the outskirts of the town. Quiet and peaceful, yet only 10 minutes from the city, the villa has easy access to all amenities, including the local beaches, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

The villa benefits from its own private pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning sea views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.

With tree double bedrooms, the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Rhodes offers the visitor a multitude of all year round leisure alternatives, covering all types of tourist activities. The natural beauty of the island, the monuments from her long and often turbulent history, a cosmopolitan character, as well as the warm hospitality generously offered by the people of Rhodes, and an excellent tourist infrastructure all captivate its visitors.

Rhodes is renowned for far more than its cloudless skies; clear blue seas, soft sand bays and olive/orange grove hillsides, excellent shopping, romantic temple ruins and a fabulous Medieval 14/15th Century Old Rhodes Town (world heritage site) – quaint, quirky and bursting with atmosphere. There's a feast of bars, restaurants and tavernas for everything from your favourite fast food to true Greek tradition, fish restaurants and fine specialty cuisines. And there are clubs, disco's and a luxurious casino for those who come alive at night, not to forget golf, walks and water sports for dawn to dusk activity.

The villa is a short journey from the airport to this Central Location, with a choice of beautiful Beaches (within 800m) Kolymbia/Afandou, a wide range of Shops, Restaurants and Bars in Kolymbia/Afandou, medieval Rhodes Old Town, an 18 hole (72 par, 6210 meter length) golf course very close by (2km/1.3 mile), picturesque Lindos Town, and much more. You will find Afandou Hills to be the perfect family or group holiday location!

* Enjoy the beaches located close to the villa, either Afandou or Kolymbia, along with the water sports that are available there.
* Cultural Events. Events (July through September) include various concerts, art exhibitions and theatre performances, with important participants from Greece and all over the world. More traditional events and festivals can be experienced during the plethora of religious festivities celebrated on the island.
* Sports. Sports enthusiasts will not be disappointed, with a variety of gymnasiums, jet skiing, water sports, horse riding clubs, an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course, squash, football and basketball courts, paragliding, bowling and for the more adventurous, and flight schools, to name a few.
* Water Park just 5km away from the villa.
* Valley of Butterflies is close to the villa.
* The "Seven Springs (Epta Piges)" flow among shady plane trees and rich vegetation is also close by to the villa.
* Lindos. Here the medieval village has been preserved. It is built amphitheatrically at the foot of the rock and is dominated by the acropolis of Lindos. Lindos is also repututed with a lively night life with delicious roof top tavernas and stylish bars.
* Kamiros amphitheatrically on a hill with an acropolis on its crest. Here, remains of the foundations of temples can be seen, as well as private houses, bases with inscriptions, altars, etc.
* Spa, located at the Atrium Hotel in Kalathos.
* Profitis Ilias is an enchanting site at an altitude of 650 metres, with a monastery amid the luxuriant vegetation, and a marvellous view.
* The reputed position of the Colossus of Rhodes (One of the 7 wonders of the world) is located in Rhodes town harbour.

Rhodes / Afandou area

The valley of the Butterflies is at its best in August when thousands of butterflies inhabit it. Seven Springs, is a cool oasis in the summer, the 1km journey through the aqueduct tunnel leads to a picturesque lake. Tsambika Monastery is 10-15 minute journey away, walk up the 350 steps to see this byzantine church with its commanding views. The legend is that any woman who wishes to conceive should visit here to pray and she will be blessed!

The Water Park and night-life of Faliraki is a 10 minute drive away, both close enough and far enough away. There are lots of other places to see and things to do on the island, including horse riding, water sports, shopping for olive oil soaps and beauty products, herbs, jewellery and even furs.

You might want to watch the sound and light show in Rhodes, which is set just outside the old fort walls. For eating out there are an abundance of restaurants in Afandou, be sure to visit the Life Garden for truly a friendly welcome.

How to get there

Flights:
For UK guests, direct flights during the peak season (~Apr-Oct) are around 3.5 hrs from London and around 4 hrs from Manchester. Flights via Athens are available all year round, which are about the same plus about an additional hour for transfers.

Car Hire:
Car hire is not essential but highly recommended to make the most of your island stay. We have arranged special discounts - Ask for our specially arranged discounted rates!

Taxi:
Taxi's are readily available all over the island. Example fair Rhodes town to Lindos 50km (31miles) would be around 38 Euro's (£27)

Buses:
Rhodes has a good bus service enabling mobilisation without the need of a car.

The villa offers open-plan living areas finished to a luxury standard. The ground floor comprises of a contemporary Italian fitted kitchen with a variety of appliances and separate WC. The living area is air conditioned.

All the rooms have air conditioning units, pergolas and sea view porches. In the garden there is 34m private pool and private parking place.

Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 with double bed and air conditioning unit, pergola and sea view porche.
Bedroom 2 with double bed and air conditioning unit, pergola and sea view porche.
Bedroom 3 with 1.5 bed.
Bathrooms:

Separate WC.
Bathroom with bath/shower and WC.

Kitchen:
The villa includes Italian fitted kitchen. A variety of appliances including refrigerator, oven, stove, micro, toaster, washing machine and dining table with 6 chairs.

Living Rooms:
The living area is air conditioned with two sofa-beds, cosy fire place and for entertainment, contains a 32' LCD TV, DVD/CD/Radio, cinema system.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: Towels and linen are included. maid service can be provided for 30 euro per cleaning day.

The private garden includes private swimming pool, parking area with a pergola, breathtaking panoramic sea view and a garden plants. Also you can enjoy Barbecue and table with 6 chairs in the balcony, and chairs by the pool.

The villa is situated on a hilltop enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and stunning Rhodes countryside, located between the popular holiday beach resort of Kolymbia, and Afandou a traditional and warm Greek town.

Other popular destinations, such as Lindos, Rhodes town and Faliraki, are but a short distance away. The villa is ideal for group holidays, family holidays or a romantic vacation. You can enjoy wild water sports, nearby beaches, nearby Golf course or enjoy one of the bars and restaurants in the area.

* Welcome pack available in the villa. You will be greeted with a welcome pack to include water, fruit juice, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter, eggs, biscuits, cheese, crackers and a bottle of wine. We understand after a journey, you do not wish to make your first trip a shopping one.

* Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Cleaning is kept to once a week to maintain your privacy, however if you require additional cleaning and linen changes, this can be organised for a small local charge.

* Preferred changeover days are Wednesday and Saturday although this is not fixed. Arrival time is after 16:00. Villa must be vacated by 10:00 on day of departure unless prearranged.

* Prices do not include travel insurance. This should be purchased separately.

* The Pool will not be in use out of season unless by prior arrangement (November to April inclusive).

- A 25% deposit will be required at the time of booking.

- Balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to booked date.

- Payment currency and methods: electronic bank transfer or by paypal.
