The Aegean Islands region
The Aegean Islands are located between mainland Greece and Turkey in the Aegean Sea and are known for their beautiful landscapes. Each island has its own unique culture, geography and history. Rhodes / Lindos area
The town of Lindos is just 800m from the villa and offers a wide array of activities, restaurants and shops. Built in the 3rd century by the Knights of St. John, the Lindos Acropolis has breathtaking views of St. Paul's Bay, where St. Paul is believed to have been shipwrecked. The Acropolis can be reached on foot or by donkey ride. Also near Lindos is the Valley of the Butterflies, a beautiful valley of running waterfalls and brooks that in summer is home to millions of rare Kalimorfa butterflies.
Pefkos is another village that is just 1200m from the villaand is known for its beautiful crystal-clear beaches equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and showers. It is also home to many nice restaurants, bars and a mini-market.
The villa is located opposite of the famous Navarone Rock where the film Guns of Navarone was made.
How to get there
May - October: Fly direct to Rhodes. Check Thomson, Thomas Cook and BA November - May: Fly to Athens and get a shuttle by Aegean Airlines to Rhodes
The villa is 45 minutes from the Rhodes Airport, there will be taxis waiting at the airport and car hire at the airport is easy as well.
