The Aegean Islands region

Rhodes (or Rodos) is an island in the Aegean Sea, the largest of the Dodecanese Island complex. It is located at the southeastern edge of the archipelagos of the Dodecanese, facing the shores of Asia Minor, which are about 9-10 kilometers away. The population of the island exceeds 110.000 and it covers an area of 1398 square kilometers. It is one of the largest and most beautiful Greek islands. Its landscape mainly comprises of hills and low mountains, which in their majority are covered with forests. It's climate is subtropical and healthy. Refreshing westerly winds moderate the summer heat, while the winter is nearly always mild, with long periods of sunshine.

The location of The Olive House offers you a perfect base to explore the whole of Rhodes.
We are also close to The Hotels Lindos Mare & Atrium Palace which are both popular wedding venue's.
Pilona is a traditional greek unspoilt village with friendly locals that are always welcoming and more than happy to help.
You can sample the delights of authentic greek food at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay in a main tourist resort.
The island of Rhodes is one of the sunniest of the greek islands with an averadge of 300 days per year of sunshine.
Lindos (in Greek – Λίνδος) is a town and an archaeological site on the east coast of the island of Rhodes, in the Dodecanese in south-eastern Greece. It is about 55km south of the town of Rhodes and its fine beaches make it a popular tourist and holiday destination. Lindos is situated in a large bay and faces the fishing village and small resort of Haraki.
Above the modern town rises the acropolis of Lindos, a natural citadel which was fortified successively by the Greeks, by the Romans, the Byzantines, the Knights of St John and the Ottomans.

The Beaches in Lindos are wonderful sandy beaches with plenty of watersports.
Lindos itself has a great choice of restaurants, shops, bars and nightlife.

Outside of Lindos you also have the choice of visiting the nearby town of Pefkos
only a few minutes by car and Lardos a traditional Greek Village.

This is an ideal location if you are visiting for a wedding in Lindos as you are 5 minutes away from St Pauls Bay in Lindos, or Just 5 minuites away from Atrium Palace in Kalathos.


How to get there

A taxi ride is 50 minutes from Rhodes airport and will cost approx 45 euros.
We are situated in the traditional and unspoilt village of Pilona which is just 3 miles from the village of Lindos which is around a drive of 5 Minutes by car, 2 miles from lardos, and 2 miles from Kalathos and Vlicha Beach.

The Booking Form must be completed and terms accepted by the party leader (the client) who must be aged 21 years or over.

Completion of the Booking Form, indicates full agreement with these booking terms and conditions.

Security Deposit

A conditional refundable security deposit of 200 euro or 150 UK pounds must be paid with the final balance to cover any breakages, losses or damage whilst staying in the villa.

Notwithstanding the amount of the security deposit, the client is solely responsible for any damages, losses or breakages that may be caused to the villa or its contents during the period of the rental agreement.

All or part of the security deposit may be retained by RPM to cover excess cleaning costs, replacement or repairs to the villa or its contents, excessive utility bills caused by e.g. doors and/or windows being left open whilst the air-conditioning is on.

Any defects found by the client on arrival must be notified to the owner within 24 hours of arrival or the client may be held liable.

RPM reserve the right to pursue the client for further monies to cover any malicious or avoidable damage / losses over and above the monetary amount of the security deposit.

RPM shall return to the client the security deposit within 14 days of the end of the rental agreement subject to there being no deductions due for damage or loss.

Cancellation

By client - Any cancellation by the client must be notified by Email to RPM A.S.A.P. The following charges will apply:

More than 8 weeks before arrival

- Loss of deposit

4 – 8 weeks before arrival

- 50% of rental charge

Less than 4 weeks before arrival

- 100% of rental charge

By owner / RPM - The owner / RPM reserves the right to cancel the booking if the balance payable is not received 8 weeks prior to arrival. If through circumstances beyond the owner’s / RPM control it is necessary to cancel the rental agreement, the owner / RPM will refund any monies paid by the client, without interest or further compensation. The owner / RPM will use best endeavours to find a replacement accommodation of equal or better standard as an alternative to a full refund but availability cannot be guaranteed.
