About the home

Villa Ranui nestles amongst olive and orange groves in the traditional village of Malona and has mountain views all round. Perfect for a peaceful, relaxing holiday where the sun shines for up to fourteen hours a day and can reach temperatures of up to 40*C in July and August. Our villa is newly built to a high speck and is equipped with everything you could possible need for your holiday. We have included a free welcome pack with essential items to get your holiday started. All windows, French doors and patio doors are double-glazed and fitted with fly screens. It was completed in Oct 2011. Villa Ranui is perfect for a beach holiday,walking in the mountains, wind surfing or just to sit in the jacuzzi to cool off after a spot of sunbathing on our private patio.

Lounge has an L shaped sofa, glass coffee table, air conditioning unit, 42" wall mounted plasma satellite tv with news and film channels. CD and DVD player, iPod docking station, free Wi-Fi plus a variety of CDs/DVDs. Board games and books to suit all tastes. Luxury fitted kitchen. Ground floor cloakroom with modern w.c., glass wash hand basin, soap dispenser and illuminated mirror. First floor, bedroom 1 with double bed, full length mirror, hairdryer, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets with lamps, air conditioning unit. Two private balconies either end of bedroom with stunning mountain views. Bedroom 2 with double (or singles if preferred). Two built in wardrobes, chest of drawers, full length mirror, hairdryer, air conditioning unit and a large picturesque window. Bathroom with a state of the art, walk in shower, vanity unit, soap dispenser, large illuminated mirror and W.C.

Large patio area to the rear with a fully tiled private sunken jacuzzi which can seat up to eight people.

Li-los, float aids, inflatable beach toys, beach parasol, dustpan & brush, mop & bucket in outside store cupboard.
There is space to park directly outside the villa.

Further details

Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere inside the villa. We have provided a designated smoking area with ashtrays provided, but we would politely request that this rule is observed for the benefit of future guests.
Strictly no glassware to be used whilst in or around the jacuzzi. Acrylic/plastic outdoor kitchenware is provided for your convenience and safety.

Conditions

Bookings can be taken all year round. A non refundable deposit of 25% on booking, with the remaining balance due 8 weeks prior to your holiday, together with a £250 refundable breakage deposit. We fully understand that things get broken and accidents do happen. The deposit is for wilful damage and missing items. The breakage deposit will be returned to you 14 days, provided there is no damage or missing items. Changeover day is Wednesday or Saturday, but we can be flexible. The villa will be available for occupancy from 4pm, but must be vacated by 11am. For those guests whose flights are late afternoon/late evening arrangements can be made locally if required.
There is a maid service twice weekly.

The Aegean Islands region

Malona is famous for its oranges, mandarins and olives and is reputed to be one of the hottest villages on the island. the hottest months are July, Aug & Sept.

The Rhodes / Malona area

Rhodes is part of the Dodecanese Islands and is shaped like a spearhead. It is 79.9 km (49.5 miles) long and 38 km (24 miles) wide. Rhodes maybe a small island but it has plenty to offer visitors of all ages with an array of activities including the largest outdoor water park in Europe, the valley of the butterflies, ostrich farm, Epte Piges (where seven springs meet) and peacocks roam free. You can relax in the beautiful wooded area while enjoying a Greek mezze and a glass of retsina. It is also a welcome respite from the sun. Steeped in history the island has an abundance of ancient monuments and monasteries. Rhodes old town is an original walled city and should not be missed. Also well worth a visit is picturesque Lindos famous for it's donkeys taking tourists up to the Acropolis. Prasonisi is also a wind surfers paradise it's where the Aegean and mediterranean seas meet. Rhodes is also a fantastic place for walking and exploring the island. Guided tours are also available. There are many festivals throughout the year, the most popular being the Lindos Rock Festival which takes place the last week in June.

There are many direct flights to Rhodes from the 31st March until the 1st November. Easyjet, Ryanair, Thomas Cook to name but a few. Ferries operate from Pireaus to Rhodes every day. Taxi cabs are stationed directly in front of you, as you come out of the airport. (All destinations have a fixed price, (check with driver before you get in) approx 55 euros for the 40 min journey to Malona.
Hire Car. Our recommendations are Haraki car hire & M&S car hire. Both companies will meet you at the airport and your car can be left at the airport on departure day. All hire cars from these two companies are fully insured, so you will not be asked for extra payment when you arrive. if you prefer not to drive we will do our upmost to assist you, but a car is recommended. There is also a local bus service which stops approx 100yds from the villa.
