About the home

Epavlis Villas are approached through pine woods and olive groves. They nestle on a hillside with breath-taking views to the sea, the monastery at Mount Tsambika and the surrounding countryside. They are set in a small secluded development of four private villas, each with their own pool. Ideal for families or friends who want to holiday together but have their own space too.

The villas are ideally situated midway between Rhodes Town and Lindos. They are within 5 minutes drive of the best beach on the island. Tsambika beach is a long stretch of golden sand, sloping gently into crystal clear waters. Sun-loungers with parasols, and watersports, are available in season. There are several tavernas and a supermarket nearby, and the small town of Archangelos for the authentic Greek shopping experience.

Although adjacent, the properties are totally separate. They each have a large infinity pool (9 x 5). There is an extensive patio area around each villa and pool and small lawn providing ample space for relaxing in the sun. Loungers, parasols and an outdoor shower are there for your comfort . Shaded pergola areas attached to the villas, and a dining pergola, provide eating/relaxing areas. A purpose built barbecue is available for alfresco cooking.

A welcome pack can be provided on arrival for an extra fee. English management team on hand. 24 hour emergency assistance available.
The villa will be cleaned weekly with fresh linen and towels provided (excluding beach towels).

Conditions

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 8 weeks before arrival date, together with a refundable breakage deposit of £400. Bookings generally Wed- Wed but can be flexible. You can pay in euros if wished.

The Aegean Islands region

Rhodes is the largest island in the Dodecanese. It is said to enjoy more days sunshine than any other Mediterranean island, being on the same latitude as N. Africa. The Colossus of Rhodes was one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World and was believed to span the harbour mouth in Rhodes Town.

Although it was sold by the Saracens in the 6th century, there are many fascinating archaeological Greek sites all over the island. Spring and Autumn are pleasantly warm and particularly good for walkers, the spring flowers being beautiful. The summer is full of lazy hot days

The Rhodes / Tsambika area

Rhodes Town is a sophisticated resort with ferries running to other islands and Turkey- fancy a day trip? The old town is a picuresque maze of buildings steeped in the history of its Byzantine and Crusader past. The dazzling white houses of Lindos cling to the hillside above its beautiful bay. Its narrow cobbled streets ensure that the only traffic you will see are donkeys.

Mount Tsambika has a tiny monastery atop it which you can visit and affords spectacular views towards Kolimbia and the golden bay of Tsambika. There is an 18 hole golf course at Afandou (15 mins) and a waterpark at Kalithea (20 mins). Epta Piges (10 mins) is a wooded valley with 7 streams provides a cool oasis to visit in the summer heat.

Easyjet flies direct to Rhodes from London Gatwick and Liverpool from 30th March 2011, and there are lots of flights from other airports via Thomas Cook, Thomson fly, Monarch and Jet 2.com beginning in April or May. All the major car hire companies are represented at Rhodes airport, for example, www.holidayautos.co.uk who often have offers online. Between November and March ther are indirect flights to Athens and thence to Rhodes (2-3 flights a day).

“Amazing setting, beautiful villas, unforgettable break with the family” We rented both villas for 10 people (inc a 7 and 4 yo). The villas were well equipped, spacious, clean, and as you can tell from the pictures .... stunning. Steve and Liza who manage the villas out there were really helpful, both before we arrived and when we got there. The villas are well located to explore Rhodes, but most of our time was spent relaxing around the pools. Would not hesitate to rent these villas again on a return trip.
