Casa Everisto is a small new building with 4 apartments. It is a plunge into the light. In fact, the bright light that comes from the terrace and the windows illuminates the spectacular view of the lake and the mountains.
The four apartments, for location and sizes, are ideal to enjoy the lake. They are located on the first and second floor, with a balcony on the front side. They are very well furnished and have a fully equipped kitchen.
The public beach, made of rough stones, gravel and some patches of grass as all beaches on Lake of Como,
is directly reachable from the doorsteps of the apartments. It is very lively in high season with surfers and swimmers. The water is clear and a lovely breeze comes up in the afternoon, a surfers' paradise, but also exciting for onlookers. You are lucky to admire it from your balcony, enjoy your glass of wine and wait for the sunset!

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area

Rezzonico is probably the most photographed village on lake Como, as it is a little peninsula with a castle dominating the village. It is also one of the oldest and well preserved. Houses are dating back to 16th century. Apart for the open bay in front of Casa Everisto, it has some secluded beaches which you can reach only by foot or boat. The part of the lake is still very good for a catch of fish( lavarello, alborelle) and you notice the strange way fishermen have made their chairs far into the water. Once on the beaches of Rezzonico the fish was dried and preserved( misoltin), try it with some vinegar and a spoon of polenta! In Rezzonico are a few restaurants, small supermarket, for extensive shopping Menaggio and Dongo ( 8 km).

Walk or drive up by car the slopes behind the village and on these winding roads you come through alpine villages, forests, you pass waterfalls and reach the high alps with grazing sheep and cows in summers. The locals go " ai monti" in the summer, autumn and winter and enjoy the season, either the snow, the flowers or the fresh climate in summer.

Day outings: Bellagio ( 10 km), Varenna, Como ( 35 km), Milan ( 90 km), Lugano ( 35 km), High alps St. Moritz, Madesimo are little more than 60 minutes by car.

By car through Switzerland, Gotthard tunnel, Menaggio, Rezzonico
By car through East Switzerland Splugenpass, Chiavenna, Dongo, Rezzonico
By air: Bergamo( low budget flights), or Milan, autostrada towards Como Laghi, Menaggio, Rezzonico.

The beach in front of the house is the bay of Rezzonico and in high season there are lots of surfers and sailing boats and swimmers. The water is clear and a lovely breeze comes up in the afternoon, a surfers'paradise, but also exciting for onlookers like you, as from your balcony with or without a glass of cool beer or wine you will enjoy the scenery.

Hi Lucia,
We had a wonderful time on our holiday. The apartment was very clean and tidy with all the essentials we needed and was very comfortable indeed and with the truly outstanding views from the balcony across the lake we thought the property was very good value.
We were warmly welcomed, however, the person that met us did not speak any English, and we speak very little Italian!! However we managed to get through using sign language and from the little understanding we had he was very welcoming to us.
As for the Lake Como area well it is a very beautiful area with lovely villages everywhere and in particular Bellagio was a very pretty place to visit and with the ferry not far from the apartment it was easy to get to as well.
