Casa Preé was built on the remains of a rural building and completely renovated. It has lots of outdoor areas, such as a terrific roof terrace, from which you enjoy an overwhelming view over lake Como and mountains, reaching as far as the Alps, with their snow covered peaks, far into spring.
a narrow upgoing path- just wide enough for a normal car, you reach the house and park in front. This path becomes a foot path after some 50 m.
The living space is divided over 3 floors: Living room with gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with dining table, two double bedrooms, one bathroom and one showerroom . A loft - open bedplatform- for 2 , which gives access to the terrace. small garden for outside dining and breakfasting.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lombardy's capital is Milan ( 60 km) and worth for a day outing both for the historical buildings, the Scala, the Naviglio are with lots of trattoria's and weekly market, and of course for its trade fairs and famous shopping centre.
Como is at 40 km Milan and Rezzonico another 25km along the north west coast of the lake from Como.
It is near the swiss border ( visit Lugano and also the high mountains resorts such as St. Moritz, Madesimo, Bormio with roman termal baths. )
The lake area has a very pleasant climate, as it is south of the alps and there has a temperate climate :in winter coldish but most of the time sunshine, ( in fact at midday you sip your cappucino on a village square outside ), springtime starts in march-april and autumn last to end october normally. The summers are pleasant warm, with a lovely breeze in the afternoon which favours also all kind of watersports and competition for sailing boats and surfs are often held.
Rezzonico area
Rezzonico has a small supermarket, a pizzeria and one or two restaurants. For extensive shopping you depend on Menaggio, Dongo , Como.
Rezzonico is a very picturesque village built on an peninsula with a castle dominating the area. Secluded beaches ( gravel-rocky) make Rezzonico a very attractive village for swimming, sailing, surfing.
Lake Como is surrounded by 1000- m high mountains, good for hiking, mountainbiking and for those who like to admire the surroundings from a viewpoint , good narrow winding roads take you up to into the valleys.

From Milan airports Linate and Malpensa by car: autostrada, exit Com- Nord, follow Menaggio.
From Switzerland by car: Gotthard tunnel or San Bernardino tunnel , autostrada, exit Lugano, follow Italian border, Porlezza, Menaggio.
From East Switzerland by car: Splugen pass, Chiavenna, follow signs for Como.
Budget airport Bergamo, follow green signs for Milano, Como ( autostrada) , exit como Nord, follow Menaggio..
