Villa Arianna is an attractive, well-designed stone built, comfortable house with 3 spacious bedrooms and air conditioning. From the terraces there are stunning views west across the bay to Chania, and inland to the White Mountains. The villa is one of 6 on a quiet cul-de-sac nestled on a slope in the charming village of Prines, 8km (5 miles) south west from the town of Rethymno. Here you can wander around the old Vatican town enjoying the shops and a huge variety of eating establishments. From Prines you are an hour’s drive to both Herkalion and Chania, 10 minutes drive to the nearest beach and only 45 minutes from the south of the island. A perfect position to see more of amazing Crete. A car is recommended. Travel time to both airports is about 1 hour.

The Crete region
The food on Crete is fantastic: salads and vegetables full of flavour, fresh fish, Mediterranean food at it best. Rethymno area
The village of Prines is above Rethymno and has a small grocery store, a bar and a taverna. The area is full of magnificent beaches from small coves to long sweeping bays, interesting archaeological sites and Byzantine churches, lovely villages, lively resorts and its capital, the town of Rethymno, is a very attractive city which has kept many example of the sumptuous Venetian architecture. The plethora of charms and beauties astonishes every visitor. With in one hours drive you can visit both Chania and Herakloin or wander down to the south coast where you can still find empty beaches. The town beach has many water sports and there is a diving school near by.

Easyjet are flying direct to Crete from Gatwick and Manchester plus many tour companyies fly direct to the island.
