Entering these exclusive villas you will notice the stone built wall which surrounds the entire property.

Inside the villa there is a living room with a fire place, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, with fridge and oven and all the comforts of home. Further on there are 3 luxury bedrooms equipped with A/C, one with single beds on the ground floor and the other two with double beds on the first floor.In both bedrooms on the first floor there are balcony doors that exit to a big veranda where you can relax enjoying refreshing atmosphere of the surrounding unspoilt environment full of olive trees and the panoramic sea view.Each villa can ideally accommodate 6-7 persons.There are also 2 bathrooms with bath tub, one on the ground floor, which consists a washing machine, and one on the first floor.

Crete

Crete is in the crossroads of 3 continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. It is the biggest island in Greece and one of the bigger islands in Mediterranean. The length of Crete is 260 km and its width 60 km.

Crete is an island which combines different things:


Combines 'sea and mountain' Crete offers more than 100 beaches, to swim in , to make water sports, to discover the sea-bed or just to enjoy the sand and the sun. In the meantime , you can come in touch with the nature by walking, climbing or mounting or crossing the cliffy ravines.


Combines 'history and modern foundations' Crete composes a unique mosaic of history and culture. You will pass in the past as you will be guided in the Minoan palaces, you will walk on the roman pavements, you will admire Byzantine churches, you will walk around the castles, Venetian and Turkish. Furthermore, Crete provides modern and luxury tourist summer resorts with amazing comforts and facilities, mostly in the big cities. However, if someone wants to know better the Cretan traditions, he must visit the villages –especially in the mountainous part of the island - where the people preserve the tradition, the Cretan dialect, the morals and the customs of the island.

At the north side of Crete, there is Rethymno, a city of 30.000 people. The town is built in the centre of the island, between the two big cities, Heraclio and Chania.

A flashback to history:


The existence of Rethymno leads in the Neolithic period (7000 before J.C.)
During the Minoan years, the city became an important commercial and cultural bridge.
Later, the island was dominated by Romans, Venetians, Turkish, Germans.
Specially, in 1204, after the ending of the Byzantine autocracy, Venetians take over Crete. In Rethymno, begins a fortifying politics in order to face the pirates, like Barbarosa. They build walls around Rethymno and a magnificent new fortress, Fortezza, which is saved till our days.
In 1669, Turkish people dominate in Crete and the cultural florescence, which characterizes the island at the Venetian period, is interrupted. Revolutions of the Cretan people with the most famous and important the “Holocaust of the monastery Arkadi” prove their liberal spirit.
In 1897, the island earns its autonomy and Rethymno begins step by step to develop, and in 1913 there is finally the union between Crete and Greece.
The Second World War and its disaster sequences left a bad memory to Rethymno.

In our days,
Rethymno has managed to be reconstituted, has managed to become again the 'city of letters and arts'. Furthermore, tourism contributes a lot in the economic development of the town. Rethymno, indeed, is a pole of attraction for thousands of tourists every year.

The natural beauties like coasts, endless sandy beaches, rivers, lakes, mountains attract the visitors.
The see sights are coming from the endless history of Rethymno and the area around it.
The guest can earn a rear educational knowledge, by traveling in the past and visiting ancient sites and admiring the monuments:


Of the ancient years: Ideon Andron, ancient Eleutherna, Minoan cemetrey in Armenous, ancient Lappa.
Of the Venetian period: the fortress of Fortezza, the gate Guora, the fountain Rimondi, the tower of clock, the Venetian port and the architecture of the houses in this period.
Of the Turkish period: the mosque Neratze, the Turkish elementary school, the 7 public fountains.
Also, there are symbols of Christianity: the monasteries of Arkadi, Preveli and Asomaton.
Of-course, the beauties of the area, the good sunny weather, the see sights are the cause to attract the tourist. However, the hospitality of the people in Rethymno, the friendly atmosphere, their willingness to help as much as they can and their offer to drink with them “raki”, (the local drink) are the main reason that Rethymno gets in the heart of the thousands people who visit it and this human communication explains simply why “Rethymno is not just a place to visit, but to come back…”

Agios Antonios villas are newly built villas, located in Agia Triada , a village set on a hillside on North Crete with an unlimited and a panoramic view of the Cretan sea, about 10 km from the old historical town of Rethymno* and 3 kilometres from a clear sandy beach of Adele.
