About the home

The property is set in a two part beautifully laid out complex with two Swimming pools with children pools attached It is ideal for families and couples and has plenty of outdoor space for alfresco eating and drinking. Quiet and peaceful but with vibrant strip just 3 Km away this two story end of terrace villa has free secure parking. The sights and sounds of the birds, (owls, swifts,raptors)and the expanse of wildflowers and their bees, (hence the nicest honey in the world) with the sound of the sheep and goats bells tinkling under the starry sky (with plenty of shooters to wish on) will enthrall you and your friends. Water sports, fishing, surfing,snorkeling, are all catered for nearby at Platanias Beach 3.5 Km and the more Astounding Georgiopolis 12Km. The villas in the complex are all privately owned and well managed.

The interior is set over two floors with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom downstairs and access to patio via three double doors and other bedroom with large terrace access upstairs. The worktops are finished in high quality marble and the floors in Italian highly polished tiling throughout. The bathroom has floating WC and a large shower, wash basin with lighted mirror,shaving point etc.,

There are three outdoor spaces, a good size patio with shade area on the ground floor. A large terrace on first floor and smaller private terrace with sea views at roof level. (see photos).

The Crete region

Crete is the largest of the Aegean islands and is the most Popular Island destination in the region. It has a wonderful sunny climate but with cool breezes from both the sea and the White Mountains that make it great for families, young and the more mature visitor.

The food from these verdant islands is very good as its sage and oregano with its wild flowers add unique flavour and variety to the local produce, with the honey and yoghurt being the best in the world. The Northwest of the Island has the nicest climate, cities (Rethymno, Chania) and the most unspoilt beaches in Crete.

Archeological, Historical, must sees include Knossos, Arcadi Monastery, with the ancient village of Maroulas a nearby treat and the Forteso in Rethymno that houses a great museum.

The Rethymno / Adele area

Rethymno is home to the oldest University in Greece. It is a beautiful seaside City of charm and endless pleasure in roaming the shop filled narrow streets near the Port. Wine and Olive Festivals with a central park for open air music and dance with Artisan produce in abundance.

The local Villages of Adele and Pigi are charming with the renovated Byzantine Hotel in Pigi well worth a look. The local Tavernas all serve food and drink with 'Fantastico' a must for eating out . My own favourite is the ' Fish' across the Bridge of Petra with a dive centre and beach bar also doing food and Traditional music.

Skypark does great food and pita and pizzas and they deliver free! and they also have Wifi and do cocktails. The taxi and bus stop are a stroll away.

“Nice 2 bed property inland” We stayed here Sept 2012. The communication from the owner before we left was good.We were given a drawn map to find the apartment.when we arrived we couldn't find the apartment which was frustrating so we finally asked a lovely lady at one of the restaurants near by. The apartment stands in a nice complex quite high up the side of the mountain.Very quiet most nights.You will need a car to get around. Or call a taxi. The taxi company charge a call out fee as well. The apartment itself was nice width patio,large balcony/ patio and also a roof terrace. The only thing for me missing was the lack of a t.v,an information pack and possible Wi-Fi. The swimming pool near the apartment was nice,clean and mostly only us in it. The bigger pool was located further up with the other apartments. Everything was there that you needed. I would stay again when neededing to get away from it all.
