A Brand new Villa for 2012 Only 500m from the sandy beach of Sfakaki from , approximately 10 min walk.
with open plan kitchen and living area, two bedrooms.air con in all rooms (no extra cost) ,with Mosquito blinds fitted to the bedroom patio door and windows.
towels and bedlinen provided, and For guests staying longer than 7 nights there is a weekly maid service including a towel and linen change. the pool is shared with the neighbouring villa only and is filled from May – end of October (earlier by arrangement only), Around the pool area there are 4 sunbeds, umbrella, outside dining table and chairs, shower facilities, BBQ and small private garden area. The private roof terrace covers the entire footprint area of the house and is stylishly equipped with low level outdoor lighting. and power points.This family villa makes the most of its magnificent views to the sea and the mountains from its rooftop terrace.

Close to all local amenities and just 10 minutes drive to Rethymno.
Villa Sofia offers a wonderful rural location with superb views of both the sea and the White Mountains.
A 10min walk will into the heart of Sfakaki, where you will find mini-market,and free Wi-fi available at the local tavernas, walking distance to the pleasant sandy beach. The bus stop is at the local supermarket less than 10min walk from Villa Sofia

The village of Stavromenos is also nearby with its tavernas, shops, and supermarket. There is a regular bus service between Rethymno and Sfafaki
Both Hania and Iraklion airports are approximately 1 hour by car.

“Great place, great location and would go back” Lovely place, well kitted out, good directions. If anything the photos don't do it justice as we found it larger than expected and four adults fitted in comfortably. Great 2 hour mountain drive to south of island just by turning rigth out of the car park and just about going straight! The only drawback was the shower. The curtain is ineffectual and with four people showering, occasionally twice a day the floor was always wet but this was a minor problem that would probably solve itself at hotter times of the year. Response: Thank you glad you all enjoyed your stay at Sofia, we would love to have you back, as for the shower curtain I agree ,it was only put in to protect the wash basin cupboard as it's a wet room design ,and you are correct not a problem in the hotter weather Regards Jayne & Slater

“Brilliant, relaxing stay.” A lovely well equipt villa, facilities excellent, fly screens were a nice touch. We enjoyed a peaceful relaxing holiday. Roof top terrace an added bonus. No extra charges, i.e. for air con. Will be back Response: Thank you Glad you enjoyed your stay, although mosquitos are not a great problem at the Villa We found it preferable to sleep with the bedroom doors open on very hot nights; I'm a light sleeper and find the hum of an air-con unit even on night setting disturbing.

“Perfect little home from home for those familiar with the area” We really liked that this apartment was owned by an English couple, as this made it feel like much more of a "home from home" than staying somewhere more Cretan or traditional. Great size for two adults or a couple with one/two children. The villa is a good 10-15 mins outside of Rethymno (the main town) but Adelianos Kampos and Platanes, two suburb-like areas of Rethymno, are only 5 mins away and have a great variety of supermarkets, bakeries, etc to keep the kitchen well stocked. The bathroom drain can be a little aromatic, shall we say - but a regular spot of bleach sorted that out! All in all a great little pad for our two week stay, and we would definitely book again. Response: Thank you for your comments as you know this was the first season that the Villa has being available for letting your comments are appreciated the drains are connected to a septic tank and occasionally Can be a little aromatic, we will be installing air purifier for 2013. hopefully you will come again in 2013

“we would re-book and recommend Villa Sofia” Great villa for a relaxing holiday well equipped Home and nicely furnished you immediately feel that this is somebody's home and not just a holiday let, the vila was spotlessly clean, swimming pool also clean and water quality excellent. Car not essential but recommended as the taxi from the airport can be expensive two local supermarkets within five and 15 min walk although for major shop best to drive 15 min to the larger Lidl, a few local restaurants are only a short walk away. beach approx 10 mins walk . we would re-book and recommend.
