The villa is situated in an elevated position a short walk from the village of Sfakaki, giving stunning panoramic mountain and sea views from its roof terrace towards the town of Rethymno.
The property comprises of two bedrooms, one double with large wardrobe and storage space. The other is a twin room with storage areas. Fully fitted kitchen including washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. Lounge with flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, books and games. Towels and bedlinen provided.
Outside has a patio with table and chairs, swimming pool with sunbathing area, four sunbeds and umbrella, shower facilities, BBQ.
Should you require accommodation for more than one family, sister bungalow Bamanifa may be available.

The Crete region
Crete is the most southerly of the Greek islands it is 155 miles long and 7.5 miles across at its narrowest. The climate varies, it can have snow on the mountains from January to March, spring flowers can be seen during the months of April and May when the weather is warm and fresh. June is hot, July and August even hotter, September to October begin to cool and a second show of the Cretan flora is visible. November and December bring more wintry weather.
Crete has an abundance of historical sites and cities to visit, it is divided into four prefectures. The villa is set in the Rethymno prefecture, which lies mid/west of the island. Rethymno is the region's tourist and cultural capital, it boasts a Venetian fort with harbour and lighthouse below, surrounded by a variety of tavernas and restaurants to while away the time. Venetian arches and a Turkish minaret are seen in the old town around which streets of shops welcome visitors to browse at their goods.
Rethymno / Sfakaki area
Sfakaki is approximately 1 hours drive from either Heraklion or Chania airports on the north/west coast of Crete and is approximately 20 minutes from the venetian town of Rethymno. It is a small village set on a quiet sandy beach with rockpools to the west, there are a few beach bars and sunbeds available. Sfakaki has a small selection of tavernas and supermarkets which can also be found in the nearby village of Stavremenos.
Local attractions include:- • Arkadiou Monestery, the centre of the resistance movement against Turkish rule recently being renovated. • The village of Margarites where you can observe traditional pottery being made. • The ghostly Venetian fortress of Frangokastelo on the south coast. • Hire pedalos on the mythical Lake Kournas, or take refreshments in the tavernas on its shores. • Take an energetic walk through the beautiful, natural Samaria gorge. • Water sports available at Adelianos Kampos. Go-karting track nearby. • Supermarkets and gift shops at nearby Adelianos Kampos and Platanes.
