The Costa de Almeria region
The province of Almeria is well known for its hot dry climate. It is the warmest part of Europe and is officially classed as the desert of Europe. Almeria offers a different world away from the usual tourist attractions of Soain as it is very mountainous with sunbaked terrain.There is plenty of places to visit including Mini Hollywood the wild west town. In August, Almeria shuts down for a fiesta. This brings plenty of attractions such as fairgrounds, circuses and much much more entertainment.
Retamar area
Retamar is situated next door to the nature reserve and beaches of Cabo de gata .It is a quite tranquil place. It is a lovely Spanish coastal resort .You can enjoy long walks along the lovely seafront. There are a few shops and restaurants dotted around the Almeria city making it lovely and tranquil and worlds away from the usual tourism hub of Spain.
The Cabo De Gata park is a protected park ensuring that it is kept unspoilt, peaceul and prevent it from becoming industrialised. Retamar has a fantastic golf course and is a short distance away from the apartment.
